December 22, 2021 Reflection – O Come, Desire of Nations, bind…

O Come, Desire of Nations, bind… December 22, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Novena for Christmas, Day 8 O come, Desire of Nations, bind In one the hearts of all mankind; Bid thou our sad divisions cease, And be thyself our King of Peace. Rejoice, Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel! December 25, 2019 “Dear children! I am carrying my Son Jesus to you, for Him to bless you and reveal to you His love, which comes from Heaven. Your heart yearns for peace, of which there is less and less on earth. That is why people are far from God and souls are sick and heading towards spiritual death. I am with you, little children, to lead you on this way of salvation to which God calls you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady comes to us in Medjugorje because she cares about us. She desires the well being of each one of us in an intense way, a way that impels her to keep coming every day to Medjugorje. In this message Our Lady tells us that she brings her Son, Jesus, for Him to bless us and reveal His love for us. She longs for us to be blessed and healed by His Love. She goes on to compassionate with us because there is less and less peace on earth. She knows how this is affecting us. We are hurting. And many souls are sick and headed towards “spiritual death”. We all feel it. The powers of darkness are so strong in these days. So Our Lady comes to lead us back to God. She comes to mother us into Heaven. Our Lady demonstrates in a huge way the genius of woman which St. John Paul II described in his Apostolic Letter Mulieris Dignitatem (on the Dignity and Vocation of Women). Msgr. Robert Batule in the December 19, 2021 “Catholic Thing” tells us: “Midway through the document, the pontiff says that motherhood gives women a new attitude that profoundly marks their personalities. Here he is not just referring to the mother vis-a-vis the child she is carrying; the bond between the two of them is undeniable. The reference is also to how a mother relates to people more generally. There is an increased sensitivity, the pope posits, that a mother has toward those around her once she has conceived and is with child.. At the end of the letter, the pope calls this increased sensitivity ‘a manifstation of the genius which belongs to ‘women’.” (MD,30) You can read the article by Msgr. Batule at this link: https://www.thecatholicthing.org/2021/12/19/mary-motherhood-and-world-history/ This increased sensitivity to the welfare of others offers a huge grace to the family and the greater society. Becoming mothers makes women sources of love for countless others. And we can see that in Our Lady! She received such an increase of sensitivity after conceiving Jesus, that she could love even at the foot of the Cross. And she loves us now through that gift of her motherly love. So today let’s allow Our Lady to lead us on the way of salvation to which God calls us. This is why she is with us!! Let us pray:Novena Litany of the Infant Jesus Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Christ, have mercy, Christ, have mercy, Lord have mercy, Lord, have mercy. Infant Jesus, hear us, Infant Jesus, graciously hear us. God the Father of Heaven, have mercy on us; God the Son, Redeemer of the world, have mercy on us;. December 21, 2021 Reflection – O Come, Thou Dayspring, come and cheer…

O Come, Thou Dayspring , come and cheer… December 21, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Novena for Christmas, Day 7 O come, thou Dayspring, come and cheer Our spirits by thine advent here; Disperse the gloomy clouds of night, And death’s dark shadows put to flight. Rejoice, Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel! December 25, 2018 “Dear children! I am carrying to you my Son Jesus who is the King of Peace. He gives you peace and may it not be only for you but, little children, carry it to others in joy and humility. I am with you and am praying for you in this time of grace which God desires to give you. My presence is a sign of love here while I am with you to protect you and lead you towards eternity. Thank you for having responded to my call..” The Gospel reading for today is the first part of the Visitation, when Mary enters Elizabeth’s home Mary set out in those days and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said: “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” (Luke 1: 40-45) Our Lady carried her Son Jesus to Elizabeth. And today she carries Him to us! Upon hearing Mary’s voice, John leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit! And today when we hear Our Lady’s words to us, we are also filled with the Holy Spirit! Elizabeth was amazed that Mary, the mother of Jesus, would come to her. We are amazed as well, that the Mother of our Lord would come to us in Medjugorje! And we, like Elizabeth, can say to Our Lady: “Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled!” Indeed she is most blessed, and we now are blessed through her! May we receive the Holy Spirit through the presence of Jesus and Mary in Medjugorje, and in each of our hearts as we respond to Our Lady’s call! Come, Holy Spirit, Come!! Let us pray: Novena Litany of the Infant Jesus Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Christ, have mercy, Christ, have mercy, Lord have mercy, Lord, have mercy. Infant Jesus, hear us, Infant Jesus, graciously hear us. God the Father of Heaven, have mercy on us; God the Son, Redeemer of the world, have mercy on us;. December 20, 2021 Reflection – O Come, Thou Key of David, come…

O Come, Thou Key of David, come… December 20, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Novena for Christmas, Day 6 O come, thou Key of David, come, And open wide our heavenly home; Make safe the way that leads on high, And close the path to misery. Rejoice, Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel! December 25, 2017 “Dear children! Today I am bringing to you my Son Jesus for Him to give you His peace and blessing. I am calling all of you, little children, to live and witness the graces and the gifts which you have received. Do not be afraid. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you the strength to be joyful witnesses and people of peace and hope. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady knows about the Holy Spirit. In the Gospel for today (Luke 1:26-38) we are told of the Annunciation of the Lord. The Angel Gabriel comes to Nazareth to “a virgin” and greets her with God’s invitation to become the Mother of His Son. And when she wonders how this could happen, the angel replies: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God!” Like Mary, God will never ask us to do something without supplying the gifts, the power and the way to do it. It just takes faith and openness to the Holy Spirit. We must ask the Holy Spirit to give us the strength!! All things are possible with God. And she includes this powerful good news: “Heaven is with you and is fighting for peace in your hearts, in the families and in the world; and you, little children, help with your prayers for it to be so!” This is our job on earth. To help in the Heavenly fight for our souls, for our peace, for the good of the world. Little Jesus, teach us how to help Heaven in the fight! December 18, 2021 Reflection – O Come, O Come, great Lord of might…

O Come, O Come, great Lord of Might… December 18, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Novena for Christmas, Day 4 O come, O come, great Lord of might, Who to thy tribes on Sinai’s height In ancient times once gave the law In cloud and majesty and awe. Rejoice, Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel! December 25, 2015 “Dear children! Also today I am carrying my Son Jesus to you and from this embrace I am giving you His peace and a longing for Heaven. I am praying with you for peace and am calling you to be peace… I am blessing all of you with my motherly blessing of peace. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady repeated the word “peace” 5 times in this short message from 2015. Nothing was more pressing to her than peace. She said something amazing to us. She was carrying her Son Jesus to us. The King of the Universe was being carried by a woman, His Mother. He was docile and at home in her arms. She navigated the way from Heaven to Medjugorje, with little Jesus in her arms. This is something we cannot explain. But then she said that “from this embrace I am giving you His peace and a longing for Heaven.” The grace that was pouring out came from Jesus and Mary together, embracing one another as mother and son. Their relationship was part of that peace!! But the grace was given by Our Lady, she was in charge of this visit. She carried Jesus, and she imparted the grace! And what was the grace? That we would receive Jesus’ peace and a longing for Heaven. With that peace of Jesus and a heart that longs for Heaven, we would be prepared for the journey of life, able to find our way to God. This is the power of the Baby Jesus. And this is the power of His Mother!! This is the grace that Our Lady wants to give us still today. Her messages are for now as well! So today let’s pray this Litany of the Infant Jesus. I think it is anointed for this time we are living. Little Infant Jesus, please continue to give us your peace and a longing for Heaven! LET US PRAY O Lord Jesus, Who allowed the greatness of Thy incarnate divinity and most sacred humanity to be born in time, to become a little child, and to suffer bitter death, grant that we may acknowledge infinite wisdom in the silence of a child, power in weakness, majesty in abasement, so that adoring Thy humility and littleness on earth we may contemplate Thy glories in Heaven. We ask this of Thee, who, with the Father and the Holy Ghost, lives and reigns God, forever and ever. Amen In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2021

December 17, 2021 Reflection – O Come Thou Wisdom from on High

O Come Thou Wisdom from on High December 17, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Novena for Christmas, Day 3 December 25, 2014 “Dear children! Also today, in my arms I am carrying my Son Jesus to you and I am asking from Him peace for you and peace among you. Pray to and adore my Son for His peace and joy to enter into your hearts. I am praying for you to be all the more open to prayer. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Again today, Our Lady’s main intention for her Christmas message in 2014 is peace. It is peace that is uppermost in her mind and heart for her children. We may not know it, but peace is essential for life. And yet peace has been eroding in our lives and in the world for many years now. Without peace, no human endeavor can prosper. Families, governments, schools, businesses, countries and all human institutions will flounder and dissolve without peace. Peace is the right relationship with God. There is no peace without God. And so we see, a world without God is a world at war. And so Our Lady says, “Pray to and adore my Son for His peace and joy to enter into your hearts.” The way to gain peace is through a deep and reverent relationship with Jesus. No other way will work. But through Our Lady’s guidance we can come to that deep and adoring relationship with Jesus! Today I have a long but incredibly meaningful litany to the Baby Jesus. He is our peace. Let His titles fill you with His Peace! Novena Litany of the Infant Jesus Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Christ, have mercy, Christ, have mercy, Lord have mercy, Lord, have mercy. December 16, 2021 Reflection – I am carrying to you the King of Peace!

I am carrying to you the King of Peace! December 16, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Novena for Christmas, Day 2 Our Lady speaks to us of peace again in this message from Christmas 2013: December 25, 2013″Dear children! I am carrying to you the King of Peace that He may give you His peace. You, little children, pray, pray, pray. The fruit of prayer will be seen on the faces of the people who have decided for God and His Kingdom. I, with my Son Jesus, bless you all with a blessing of peace. Thank you for having responded to my call.” On this Christmas day, Our Lady came again carrying the Baby Jesus in her arms. She brings Him every year! The Baby Jesus is the King of Peace! How is this so? Because the God of the Universe, the Second Person of the Trinity, was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became Man! He came to reconcile all humanity with the Father, to bring unity back into creation. He came to free us from sin and rebellion, and give us a new birth of holiness and love through His Death and Resurrection. So, Jesus is the Peace Maker right from his Conception! Jesus is the Peace Maker! He it is who saves us, brings us back into His embrace, holds us close to His Heart until we are healed of all our wounds and sins. He it is who loves us totally. And so, this Child that Mary brings to us is our only hope! Our only hope!! How do we receive this hope, this faith, this love, this salvation? Our Lady tells us to pray, pray, pray. If we pray, our faces will change, we will no longer look lost and without hope. We will reflect Heaven. The light of Jesus’ love will shine on our faces, and we will be peace and joy for others. Take time today to contemplate the King of Peace. Just let Him shine upon you. Pray, pray, pray. Don’t think about anything else. Only Jesus, the Child King! Let Him take up all your thoughts and memories and hopes and fears, and turn them into peace. If we pray, pray, pray from now until Christmas Eve, we will be changed. And that change will be seen on our faces! The world needs to see our faces changed! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2021

December 15, 2021 Reflection – I am your peace, live my commandments!

I am your peace, live my commandments! December 15, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Today we begin the Novena before Christmas with St. James Parish! The Parishioners will be climbing Apparition Hill each day from December 15 to December 23, praying the Rosary! Mary TV will stream this Rosary Climb each day, live at 2:00 pm Medjugorje time. Join us!  www.marytv.tv For my reflections during these days, I would like to present one Christmas Day messages from Our Lady from 2012 to 2020. They will be helpful for us as we approach Christmas Day, 2021. This has been a rough year, full of uncertainty and unrest. But God the Father is with us, Our Lady is by our side, and Jesus is our strength and our help and He sends us the Holy Spirit! What more do we need? Our first day: December 25, 2012 – Our Lady came with little Jesus in her arms and she did not give a message, but little Jesus began to speak and said: “I am your peace, live my commandments.” With a sign of the cross, Our Lady and little Jesus blessed us together. Shock of shocks, Our Lady said nothing to us on that Christmas Day! But she brought Little Baby Jesus with her, and He spoke simply and beautifully: “I am your peace, live my commandments.” Our Lady spoke loudly without speaking that day! She presented to us her Son, Jesus! And He is the Word made flesh! The Son of the Father! Jesus is the Word of God! May we gaze upon Jesus with our eyes open and ready to see. Jesus, the Word, will teach us everything that the Father has for us to learn: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:1-5) Lord Jesus, may we behold you, the Word who was with the Father from the beginning. We long to receive you as our peace. Teach us to live your commandments, and we will find your peace. We long for you. Jesus be our way, truth and life! Jesus be our light! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! December 14, 2021 Reflection – for your gaze and heart to always be directed towards Heaven and eternity!

For your gaze and heart to always be directed towards Heaven and eternity December 14, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! In the winter of 2020, during the time that the pandemic first took hold all over the world, I was walking out of Weekday Mass, early in the morning. And as I opened the doors to leave the church, I heard these words very clearly in my heart:  “Lift your head! Look up!” It was very clear and short. But I knew those words were from the Lord. He was giving me instruction. I also knew something similar was in Scripture. And so when I got home I looked it up. Sure enough, here is the Gospel reading: “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21: 25-28 Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near…. Those words were chilling, but at the same time comforting. Because the Lord was describing just how I felt at the time. It was as though the world had been loosened from its axis. Life was shaking. But I knew somehow that God was not far away, but very close. He was not leaving us but coming closer. I have remembered that inspiration so very often, and it has helped me to move forward, in prayer and hope. Our Lady gave this message in 2016: December 25, 2016 “Dear children! With great joy, today I am carrying my Son Jesus to you, for Him to give you His peace. Open your hearts, little children, and be joyful that you can receive it. Heaven is with you and is fighting for peace in your hearts, in the families and in the world; and you, little children, help with your prayers for it to be so. I bless you with my Son Jesus and call you not to lose hope; and for your gaze and heart to always be directed towards Heaven and eternity. In this way, you will be open to God and to His plans. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady sees all that is happening, and she comes to us only with encouragement and hope. And with words similar to the ones I heard: I bless you with my Son Jesus and call you not to lose hope; and for your gaze and heart to always be directed towards Heaven and eternity. We need to keep our gaze and heart always upon Heaven and eternity!!! Lift your head, look up!! Our redemption is drawing near!!! I just want to encourage all of us to do this now more than ever. Lift your head! Keep your gaze on Heaven and eternity! Look up! Don’t lose hope! Our redemption is drawing near!!!! Mother help us to remember your words when we are tempted to look down, to worry about earthly things. We must not waist time on what does not last. God is moving. He is coming. We must be ready. We must receive the peace that Jesus brings to us at this very moment. Mother is with us to help us!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2021
