November 7, 2023 Reflection – Like a child which is open to the love of the Father!

Like a child which is open to the love of the Father…   November 7, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! The Psalm for today is Psalm 131. It is my favorite psalm. It is very short and very sweet. It conveys the humility and sweetness of children. Here it is: Psalm 131 O Lord, my heart is not proud, nor are my eyes haughty; I busy not myself with great things, nor with things too sublime for me. Nay rather, I have stilled and quieted my soul like a weaned child. Like a weaned child on its mother’s lap, so is my soul within me. O Israel, hope in the Lord, both now and forever. Like the Psalmist, Our Lady also calls us to be children. She constantly calls to us, “Dear children!” And she addressed us as “little children” and often as “My dear little children.” We are children to her. And in truth, we are children to the Father as well. It is important in our big important lives, to recall this fact often. Here is a message which explains it very well: July 25, 1996  “Dear children! Today I invite you to decide every day for God. Little children, you speak much about God, but you witness little with your life. Therefore, little children, decide for conversion, that your life may be true before God, so that in the truth of your life you witness the beauty God gave you. Little children, I invite you again to decide for prayer because through prayer, you will be able to live the conversion. Each one of you shall become in the simplicity, similar to a child which is open to the love of the Father. Thank you for having responded to my call.” May we become “in the simplicity, similar to a child which is open to the love of the Father!” Like the Psalmist so aptly understood, may we be “Like a weaned child on its mother’s lap!” Yes, Mother Mary we long to be on your lap, safe and secure as little children need to be! November 6, 2023 Reflection – Come, I desire all of you…

Come, I desire all of you…   November 6, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Today, as I pray I feel a strong call to gaze upon and celebrate Our Lady. She is our hope in these days. We need her. And she needs us. She told us in 1984: Saturday, February 25, 1984: “Know that I love all of you. Know that you are all mine. To no one do I desire to give more than to you. Come to me all of you. Stay with me. I want to be your Mother. Come, I desire all of you.” Let these words from Our Lady penetrate your hearts! They are life-changing. Our Lady longs for us, loves us with her powerful maternal heart! She desires us to be with her, to be close to her. She needs us!!! We are being called by Mother Mary to help her in these very pivotal days. She needs us. We must respond with all our hearts. But I also think we need to know who She is! Who is this amazing woman, the Mother of God? How can we fathom her greatness? By reading this: This excerpt from a sermon of St. Anselm (Oratio 52; PL 158, 955-956) is used in the Roman Office of Readings for the Solemnity (Solemn Feast) of the Immaculate Conception on December 8. It proclaims so eloquently the exquisite grace that is Mary! She is Mother of God! She is the Immaculate Conception! She is the Door through which our Savior entered the world. She is also the Mother of Mercy, for she is the Mother of our Redeemer: St. Anselm wrote: Blessed Lady, sky and stars, earth and rivers, day and night – everything that is subject to the power or use of man – rejoice that through you they are in some sense restored to their lost beauty and are endowed with inexpressible new grace. All creatures were dead, as it were, useless for men or for the praise of God, who made them. The world, contrary to its true destiny, was corrupted and tainted by the acts of men who served idols. Now all creation has been restored to life and rejoices that it is controlled and given splendor by men who believe in God. The universe rejoices with new and indefinable loveliness. Not only does it feel the unseen presence of God himself, its Creator, it sees him openly, working and making it holy. These great blessings spring from the blessed fruit of Mary’s womb. Through the fullness of the grace that was given you, dead things rejoice in their freedom, and those in heaven are glad to be made new. Through the Son who was the glorious fruit of your virgin womb, just souls who died before his life-giving death rejoice as they are freed from captivity, and the angels are glad at the restoration of their shattered domain. Lady, full and overflowing with grace, all creation receives new life from your abundance. Virgin, blessed above all creatures, through your blessing all creation is blessed, not only creation from its Creator, but the Creator himself has been blessed by creation. To Mary God gave his only-begotten Son, whom he loved as himself. Through Mary God made himself a Son, not different but the same, by nature Son of God and Son of Mary. The whole universe was created by God, and God was born of Mary. God created all things, and Mary gave birth to God. The God who made all things gave himself form through Mary, and thus he made his own creation. He who could create all things from nothing would not remake his ruined creation without Mary. God, then, is the Father of the created world and Mary the mother of the re-created world. God is the Father by whom all things were given life, and Mary the mother through whom all things were given new life. For God begot the Son, through whom all things were made, and Mary gave birth to him as the Savior of the world. Without God’s Son, nothing could exist; without Mary’s Son, nothing could be redeemed. Truly the Lord is with you, to whom the Lord granted that all nature should owe as much to you as to himself. (St. Anselm, (Oratio 52; PL 158, 955-956). Now listen again to the words Our Lady spoke to us in 1984: Saturday, February 25, 1984: “Know that I love all of you. Know that you are all mine. To no one do I desire to give more than to you. Come to me all of you. Stay with me. I want to be your Mother. Come, I desire all of you.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

November 3, 2023 Reflection – Peace is the gift of God!

Peace is the gift of God November 3, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! I leave you this weekend with this message from Our Lady. May her words guide us into the peace of God which is fundamental to our entire life with God. It is peace that enables us to live all the beatitudes and the commandments of God. When we have God’s peace, we have the heart to say yes to what ever God asks of us and to be sources of light for others. June 25, 1997  “Dear children! Today I am with you in a special way and I bring you my motherly blessing of peace. I pray for you and I intercede for you before God, so that you may comprehend that each of you is a carrier of peace. You cannot have peace if your heart is not at peace with God. That is why, little children, pray, pray, pray, because prayer is the foundation of your peace. Open your heart and give time to God so that He will be your friend. When true friendship with God is realized, no storm can destroy it. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

November 2, 2023 Reflection- All Souls Day

All Soul’s Day   November 2, 2023 All Souls Day!! Dear Family of Mary! Today we dedicate our prayers for the release of the souls in Purgatory.  Our Lady made it very clear to us, early in the apparitions, that the souls need our prayers daily!  Here is her instruction: November 6, 1986 “Dear children! Today I wish to call you to pray daily for souls in purgatory. For every soul prayer and grace is necessary to reach God and the love of God. By doing this, dear children, you obtain new intercessors who will help you in life to realize that all the earthly things are not important for you, that only Heaven is that for which it is necessary to strive. Therefore, dear children, pray without ceasing that you may be able to help yourselves and the others to whom your prayers will bring joy. Thank you for having responded to my call.” We have the opportunity to help many souls to reach God and the love of God!!!  Let’s pray today for the souls, and then make it a daily prayer that we pray out of our hearts in generous love for them!! Below is one suggestion of a prayer we can pray.  Also, we can pray the 7-7-7 that the parish prays after the evening rosary.  This prayer was suggested by Our Lady to be prayed every day for our beloved dead. The Litany Prayer for the Souls in Purgatory O Jesus, You suffered and died that all mankind might be saved and brought to eternal happiness. Hear our pleas for further mercy on the souls of: Response: Jesus, have mercy! My dear parents, grandparents and spouse, My brothers and sisters and other near relatives, My Godparents and sponsor of Confirmation, My spiritual and temporal benefactors, My friends and neighbors, All for whom love or duty calls me to pray, Those who have suffered disadvantages or harm through me, Those who are especially beloved by You, Those whose release is near at hand, Those who desire most to be united with You, Those who endure the greatest sufferings, Those who are least remembered, Those whose release is most remote, Those who are most deserving on account of their services to the Church, The rich, who now are the most destitute, The mighty, who now are powerless, The once spiritually blind, who now see their folly, The frivolous, who spent their time in idleness, The poor who did not seek the treasures of heaven, The tepid, who devoted little time to prayer, The indolent, who neglected to perform good works, Those of little faith, who neglected the frequent reception of the Sacraments, The habitual sinners, who owe their salvation to a miracle of grace, Parents who failed to watch over their children, Superiors who were not solicitous for the salvation of those entrusted to them, Those who strove for worldly riches and pleasures, The worldly-minded, who failed to use their wealth and talents in the service of God, Those who witnessed the death of others, but would not think of their own, Those who did not provide for the life hereafter, Those whose sentence is severe because of the great things entrusted to them, The Popes, kings and rulers, The Bishops and their counselors, The Priests and Religious of the Catholic Church, My teachers and spiritual advisers, The defenders of the holy faith, Those who died on the battlefield, Those who fought for their country, Those who were buried in the sea, Those who died of apoplexy, Those who died of heart attacks, Those who suffered and died of cancer or AIDS, Those who died suddenly in accidents, Those who died without the Last Rites of the Church, Those who shall die within the next twenty-four hours, My own poor soul when I shall have to appear before your judgment seat, Grant them eternal rest, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them with your Saints forever more because You are gracious. Let us pray: May the prayer of Your suppliant people, we beseech You, O Lord, benefit the souls of Your departed servants and handmaids, that You both deliver them from all their sins and make them partakers of Your redemption. Amen. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 31, 2023 Reflection – The Vigil of the Solemnity of All Saints

Pray and seek the intercession of all the Saints   October 31, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Today we prepare for the Solemnity of All Saints! This great feast sets before us our destiny! We pray that we may join the saints in Heaven for all eternity, praising God and living in His Perfect Presence! The Saints are lights for us on the road to that eternal destiny! They show us the way through their lives. Our Lady told us: October 25, 2010 “Dear children! May this time be a time of prayer for you. My call, little children, desires to be for you a call to decide to follow the way of conversion; therefore, pray and seek the intercession of all the saints. May they be for you an example, an incentive and a joy towards eternal life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” The Saints found their way into holiness through their struggles, sufferings and joys of life with God. We can learn from them. And tomorrow we will celebrate them with a special holy day! Let’s prepare for this great feast by reading Matthew 5:3-12. In this Gospel, Jesus shows us exactly how the saints must live in order to arrive in Heaven. It is a road map for all of us, as we set our hearts on eternal life with our God and all His Saints! Canticle of the Beatitudes  (Matthew 5:3-12) Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thanks be to God for our wonderful future, shown to us by the saints! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 30, 2023 Reflection – You, little children, are my extended hands…

You, little children, are my extended hands!   October 30, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Our Lady said to us: “Dear children! Winds of evil, hatred and peacelessness are blowing through the earth to destroy lives. That is why the Most High sent me to you, to lead you towards the way of peace and unity with God and people. You, little children, are my extended hands: pray, fast and offer sacrifices for peace – the treasure for which every heart yearns. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (October 25, 2023) Our Lady tells us that she was sent to us specifically for this time in which we live, because the enemy is spreading evil, hatred and peacelessness throughout the earth. Of course we are very aware of this evil work of our enemy. But we are also very aware that Our Lady has been with us for over 42 years in this special way in Medjugorje. She has stood with us against these evil winds all these years, keeping our faith alive and our hope strong. She is a fortress for us. But she also needs us. And I am really grateful for the way she described our job in this time of deep conflict. She told us, “You, little children, are my extended hands…” When I have heard her say this in the past, what she meant by it was not clear to me. How can I be her extended hands? I don’t know what she is doing. But something has been cleared up for me. She called us very specifically, “little children.” We are her little children! She is our mother!! This I understand! I have been observing my daughter and how she relates to her 4 very little children, as they are staying with us these days. I see how much she depends on the older two children who are 4 and 6. Though they are still really little children, they can do simple tasks for their mom. They can retrieve things for her. They can stay with the baby, while she runs to the next room to get a diaper. They can run all kinds of errands for her in the house. They can turn off the TV. They can pick up toys. They can clear the table. They actually are her extended hands!! Always under the direction of the mom, they can be of help to the whole family. We can be Our Lady’s extended hands in the very same way. We are not big enough to stop a war or evangelize a nation. But we can run errands for our Mother as well. We can make a sacrifice for a person she brings to mind so they will be healed. We can say the Rosary for the conversion of someone she points out. We can fast for peace in our neighborhood. We can send flowers to someone who just lost their husband. Well, you see what I mean. Our Lady has jobs for us to do, jobs she would like to do herself, but she needs help. She needs her children here on earth to help her! Our only responsibility is to listen for her requests and respond to them. Like good older children, we can do as she tells us, one task at a time. And I believe she will tell us specifically what she needs us each to do, one task at a time! She will direct us if we are listening to her call. May we all start to listen with great love for the call of Our Mother. She needs us to be her extended hands! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 27, 2023 Reflection – Pray for Peace…

Pray for Peace…   October 27, 2023 “Dear children! Thank you for having responded to my call.” This message calls us to be Our Lady’s extended hands, to pray, fast and offer sacrifices for peace. I would like to respond today to that call by offering you a prayer written by Fr. Slavko Barbaric, and published in “Pray with the Heart!” A Medjugorje Manual of Prayer. I believe it will help us to begin responding to Our Lady’s call. May we take time with The Rosary of Peace this weekend, and begin to give ourselves to the task that Our Lady has given us…to pray for peace. The Rosary of Peace From Pray With the Heart! Medjugorje Manual of Prayer (Fr. Slavko Barbaric) Introductory Prayer Heavenly Father, I believe that you are the good Father of all people. I believe that you sent your son Jesus Christ to the world to conquer evil and sin, and to accomplish peace among all people, for all people are your children and Jesus’ brothers. And once we know this, all destruction and every defilement of peace is all the more pitiable and incomprehensible. Grant that I now and all those who will pray for peace, may pray with a pure heart that you may answer our prayers and give us true peace of heart and soul – peace to our families, peace to our church and to the whole world.  Good Father, remove from us all weeds of disturbance and disorder and give us the joyous fruits and of peace and reconciliation with you and with all men. We ask you this with Mary, the Mother of your Son and the Queen of Peace. May it be so. I believe…. THE FIRST MYSTERY: Jesus gives peace to my heart. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives, do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:27) Jesus, quiet my heart. Open my heart to your peace. I have had enough unrest and anxiety. Jesus, I have been cheated thoroughly by false hopes, bruised by heavy blows, cut by sharp blades. I have no peace.  I am easily overwhelmed by worries. I am easily affected by fear and mistrust. Too often have I hoped to find peace in this world, but my heart is still restless. Therefore, Jesus, together with St. Augustine I ask you to appease my heart and let it find rest in you. Do not ever let the waves of sin overflow it. Be my rock and my fortress from now on. Come back to me and stay with me, you who are the only fountain of true peace. Thank you for the consoling words recorded by your dearest disciple:  “I have told you this that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.” (John 16:33) (Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory Be, O My Jesus…) THE SECOND MYSTERY: Jesus offers peace to my family. “Whatever town or village you enter, look for a worthy person in it, and stay there until you leave. As you enter a house, wish it peace. If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; if not, let your peace return to you.” (Matthew 10:11-13) O Jesus, thank you for having thought of our families as well. Thank you for having sent out the apostles to spread their peace in families. Now I ask you heartily to to make my family deserving of your peace. Cleanse us of all sinful thoughts and deeds that your peace may grow and come into bloom within us. May your peace remove all anxieties, all conflicts from our family. Grant that your peace may completely overwhelm us and that You, the Peacemaker may always be the first member of our family.   I also pray to you for neighboring families. Let them too, be, filled with your peace and we shall all be fine. (Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory Be, O my Jesus…) THE THIRD MYSTERY: Jesus offers peace to the Church and calls her to spread peace. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old order has passed away; now all is new. All this has been done by God who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. We implore you in Christ’s name; be reconciled to God.” (2 Cor. 5:17-19) Jesus, I implore you to give peace to your Church. Reconcile all that is unreconcilable in her. Bless priests, bishops and the Pope that they may live reconciled and perform the ministry of reconciliation. Remove from your Church all division. Reconcile all those who are in variance in your Church and who, with their mutual conflicts, scandalize your little ones. Reconcile various religious groups. May your Church, spotless and stainless, be steadily calm, and let her be the promoter of peace. (Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory Be, O my Jesus…) THE FOURTH MYSTERY: Jesus offers peace to his people. “As he drew near, he saw the city and wept over it, saying, ‘If this day you only knew what makes for peace – but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; and they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”  (Luke 19:41-44) Jesus, you wept over your city and over your people. You offered them peace, but they were deaf and blind and did not either hear or see. Thank you for your love toward your people. Please grant that I may know how to lead my town, my people, my village, and my homeland to the good. I pray to you for every individual member of my homeland, for each of my countrymen, for all those who are in authority. Grant that they may not be blind but that they may learn and recognize what they are to do for the realization of peace. Let there be no more ruin in my people, but let them all become solid spiritual buildings which will shine with peace and joy. Jesus, give peace to my people. Give peace to every nation. Let everyone live in peace and let everyone proclaim peace. (Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory Be, O my Jesus…) THE FIFTH MYSTERY: Jesus offers peace to the whole world. “Promote the welfare of the city to which I have exiled you; pray for it to the Lord, for upon its welfare depends your own.” (Jeremiah 29:7) Jesus, the dangerous seeds of war and all kinds of conflicts have long since been sown and are now germinating on the earth. And I know quite well that my peace too, as well as the peace of all people, firmly depends on peace in all countries and nations of the world. Therefore I ask you to root out, with your divine power, the ill-fated seed of unrest and sin as the first cause of every disturbance. Let the whole world be open to your peace. All people need you in their life’s unrest, so help them all to find peace, to realize peace. Many nations have lost their character. Many live in fear of others who are stronger and richer. Many of the poor and the persecuted rebel, while many of the rich and the wanton vent their fury over them. Generally, there is no peace, or hardly any. So, Lord, send us your Holy Spirit that He may bring the original divine order into this human disorder of ours. Let the nations be healed of their spiritual wounds so that mutual reconciliation may be possible. Send to all nations the messengers and harbingers of peace so that everyone may realize the deep truth of what you once said through your great prophet: “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings glad tidings, announcing peace, bearing good news, announcing salvation, and saying to Zion, ‘Your God is King.’” (Isaiah 52:7) (Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory Be, O my Jesus…) Closing Prayer O Lord, heavenly Father, give us your peace. We ask this of you together with all your children in whom you have planted the desire for peace and appeasement. We ask this together with all those who, in unspeakable sufferings, are sighing for peace. And after this life, which, for the best part of it after all, we have spent in restlessness, take us into the kingdom of your eternal peace and love. Accept all those who have fallen as victims of war and conflicts. Accept all those who are looking for peace on wrong paths. We ask this through Christ, the Prince of Peace, and through the intercession of our Heavenly Mother, the Queen of Peace. Amen. Thank you for praying The Rosary for Peace! May we persevere now in these days as Our Lady has asked us. Pray, Fast and Sacrifice for Peace! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

Thank you for having responded to my call.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 24, 2023 Reflection – I am calling you to strong prayer…

I am calling you to strong prayer…   October 24, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! As we await the Monthly Message tomorrow, let’s spend time today meditating on the September 25, 2023 message: Dear children! I am calling you to strong prayer. Modernism wants to enter into your thoughts and steal from you the joy of prayer and of meeting with Jesus. That is why, my dear little children, renew prayer in your families, so that my motherly heart may be joyful as in the first days, when I had chosen you, and day and night prayer resounded — and Heaven was not silent but abundantly bestowed peace and blessing on this place of grace. Thank you for having responded to my call. ( September 25, 2023 ) In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

Tours of Mary TV’s new Station/Remote Studio that you have given to Our Lady are now being offered.
