Let’s celebrate Our Lady’s Birthday on August 5th!   August 1, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! On August 5, 2023 we will celebrate the 2039th birthday of Our Lady! How do we know this? Our Lady told us through the visionaries in 1984 and she asked them to help us celebrate it. Here is how it happened: In 1984 Our Lady told the visionaries that on August 5, 1984 it would be her 2000th birthday! She told them she was actually born on August 5, and that in 1984 it would be 2000 years! She wanted to celebrate that birthday in a special way! She wanted to shower down graces upon all of her children in Medjugorje! She asked for prayer and fasting for three days before her 2000th birthday. And many miracles happened on that day! Collected below are her messages about that wonderful day: Sunday, August 5, 1984 The celebration of the second millennium of Mary’s birthday was preceded by three days of fasting and continuous prayer. Seventy priests heard confessions without rest; there were a great number of conversions. On that day Our Lady said: “Never in my life have I cried with sorrow, as I have cried this evening with joy. Thank you!” In anticipation of this day Our Lady had said: “The priest who will hear confession will have great joy on that day.” (It was said that the robes of the priests hearing confessions were wet with the tears of the penitents that day!) During these 3 days of fasting and continuous prayer the visionaries say the Blessed Virgin was very joyful. Our Lady repeated: “I am very happy, continue, continue. Continue to pray and to fast.” For many years the Youth Festival in Medjugorje has included August 5th! It was arranged that way on purpose, to be able to celebrate Mother Mary’s birthday with the young people. She loves young people!! This year the schedule was changed, and so we have this week to prepare for Our Lady’s birthday ourselves! I suggest we take these days as a personal retreat and spend some time just with Our Lady, talking to her about everything! She would love to have that time with each one of us. We might say a rosary, slowly and with lots of interjections to Mother Mary, just telling her what ever comes to mind. She will listen with joy! I will share a short prayer in my reflections too. Here is today’s prayer: Prayer to Our Lady of Mercy by Saint Augustine of Hippo “Blessed Virgin Mary, who can worthily repay you with praise and thanks for having rescued a fallen world by your generous consent! Receive our gratitude, and by your prayers obtain the pardon of our sins. Take our prayers into the sanctuary of heaven and enable them to make our peace with God. Holy Mary, help the miserable, strengthen the discouraged, comfort the sorrowful, pray for your people, plead for the clergy, intercede for all women consecrated to God. May all who venerate you feel now your help and protection. Be ready to help us when we pray, and bring back to us the answers to our prayers. Make it your continual concern to pray for the people of God, for you were blessed by God and were made worthy to bear the Redeemer of the world, who lives and reigns forever. The Closing Mass for the Youth Festival on Cross Mountain! Medjugorje Youth Festival 2023 July 31, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! The Youth Festival ended early in the morning on Sunday, July 30. Hundreds of participants climbed Cross Mountain during the night, to gather at the top for Holy Mass at dawn. Fr. Zvonimir offered the Holy Mass! And he had only a few words to say in his homily. He spoke the homily is several languages. It was powerful and to the point. He said: “Jesus says that the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure that a man finds, like a fine pearl. And when he finds it, he should go and sell everything and buy it. This means that nothing in this world is more precious than the Kingdom of Heaven. We are ending the Youth Fest with this Mass. May our decision after this Youth Fest be that we want to live with God! May our heart always yearn for God. May our eyes be always fixed on the sky, on the Kingdom of Heaven. And may our Heavenly Mother, the Queen of Peace, help us to achieve that kingdom. Amen” Truly we all encountered Heaven during this Youth Festival. The Holy Spirit was pouring out upon all those present, including everyone who attended the festival through Mary TV. It was so anointed, so blessed, so powerful!   Pure hearts are always young!   July 28, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! The first full day of the Youth Festival was very powerful and very long!! Hundreds of participants climbed Apparition Hill early in the morning, arriving at 6:00 am for prayer with Ivan, the visionary, and Fr. Zvonomir! It was so moving! Then followed a three hour session around the church in the morning, another 2 hour session in the afternoon, and the evening session that went from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm!! Wow! You can watch it all on Mary TV! I found this message in which Our Lady spoke powerfully to all of us about how to live the faith. In it she told us that “pure hearts are always young and joyful”! Certainly we see young and joyful hearts at the Youth Festival! This message is really helpful for all of us today: January 2, 2018 “Dear children, when love is beginning to disappear on earth, when the way of salvation is not being found, I, the mother, am coming to help you to come to know true faith – living and profound – so as to help you to truly love. As a mother, I am longing for your mutual love, goodness, and purity. My desire is that you be just and that you love each other. My children, be joyful in your soul, be pure, be children. My Son used to say that he loves to be among pure hearts, because pure hearts are always young and joyful. My Son said to you to forgive and to love each other. I know that this is not always easy. Suffering makes you grow in spirit. For you to spiritually grow all the more, you must sincerely and truly forgive and love. Many of my children on earth do not know my Son, they do not love Him; but you who do love my Son, you who carry Him in your heart, pray, pray and in praying feel my Son beside you. May your soul breathe in His spirit. I am among you and am speaking about little and great things. I will not grow tired speaking to you about my Son – the true love. Therefore, my children, open your hearts to me. Permit me to lead you as a mother. Be apostles of the love of my Son and of me. As a mother I implore you not to forget those whom my Son has called to lead you. Carry them in your heart and pray for them. Thank you.” May we live her words with all our hearts. The 34th Youth Festival in Medjugorje is underway! July 27, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! The Youth Festival in Medjugorje is underway! This is the first full day!! Already I am filled with joy!! Our Lady wants us to be filled with joy! This festival is a huge source of her joy!! Here is a message from Our Lady that I think summarizes the great graces of the Youth Festival: May 25, 1988 “Dear children! I am inviting you to a complete surrender to God. Pray, little children, that satan may not carry you about like the branches in the wind. Be strong in God. I desire that through you the whole world may get to know the God of joy. By your life bear witness for God’s joy. Do not be anxious nor worried. God himself will help you and show you the way. I desire that you love all men with my love. Only in that way can love reign over the world. Little children, you are mine. I love you and want you to surrender to me so that I can lead you to God. Never cease praying so that satan cannot take advantage of you. Pray for the knowledge that you are mine. I bless you with blessings of joy. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Wow! The July 25, 2023 Message   July 25, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Here is the message for July 25, 2023 from Our Lady of Medjugorje: Dear children! In this time of grace, in which the Most High sends me to you to love you and guide you on the way of conversion, offer your prayers and sacrifices for all those who are far away and have not come to know God’s love.   July 25, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Today we will await a message from Our Lady!! Like children, we look forward to Our Mother’s words to us. It is a blessed thing to anticipate the message. It shows our attachment to Our Lady. She has not failed us all these years. She has come every day to the visionaries, and given us messages every 25th of the month since 1987. We are so blessed!! While we wait I have a couple of things to share with you about this week. #1 On Wednesday evening, the Youth Festival begins! At the end of the email is the schedule for the entire festival! #2 To make way for the afternoon session, Denis and I will be live from 3:00 to 3:50 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, to pray the Rosary with all of you. At 3:50 Sarah Zubac will give a brief introduction for the afternoon session! We hope to have interviews throughout the festival as well! #3 For all of you who view Mary TV on ROKU, the issue with the live windows has been resolved. Here is what Mario tells us: Hi Cathy, the update rolls out tomorrow (July 25) at 10am US time. All Roku users will automatically get the update, they won’t need to do anything. Anyhow if they are still getting the old version after tomorrow, they’ll need to manually update it. Which is easy, navigate to the Marytv app, hold the * star on the remote and hit update!! This is the new version: Update v18.2 Update v18.0 is the broken version that is being replaced. You should have v18.2 now. Ok! That’s it!! Fear not!   July 24, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! In the first reading for Mass today, Moses has led God’s people out of Egypt, and they are camped at the shore of the Red Sea. But Pharaoh has a change of heart and decides to lead his army out after Moses and the people. His army traps them by the sea, and they are terrified! The people complain to Moses: “Were there no burial places in Egypt that you had to bring us out here to die in the desert?” The have very quickly forgotten all the wonders the Lord had done for them to free them from the Egyptians. We can be very much like those people by the Red Sea. It is very easy to forget what God has already done for us, and not trust Him with our future. But here is what Moses said to the people: “Fear not! Stand your ground, and you will see the victory the Lord will win for you today. These Egyptians whom you see today you will never see again. The Lord himself will fight for you; you have only to keep still.” We know what happened! The sea parted to let the people of God pass through, and then flowed over the Egyptian army, completely destroying it! And this event was to stand as a reminder to the Jewish people and to us all of God’s power to save! Our Lady has called us to remember this event and all her Son has done to save us as well, so that we will also be faithful and strong and not give in to fear! March 25, 2021 “Dear children! Also, today I am with you to tell you: Little children, [he] who prays does not fear the future and does not lose hope. You are chosen to carry joy and peace, because you are mine. I have come here with the name ‘Queen of Peace’ because the devil wants peacelessness and war, he wants to fill your heart with fear of the future – but the future is God’s. That is why, be humble and pray, and surrender everything into the hands of the Most High Who created you. Do not be anxious or worried…   July 21, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! I found this message from 1988!! It is as relevant and important today as it was 35 years ago. Our Lady’s plans have not changed! Let’s open our hearts to her words today: May 25, 1988 “Dear children! I am inviting you to a complete surrender to God. Come to me, all you who labor…   July 20, 2023 St. Apollinaris Dear Family of Mary! The Gospel Reading for today: Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” (Mt 11: 28-30) And a message from Our Lady: April 25, 2001 “Dear children! Also today, I call you to prayer. Little children, prayer works miracles. When you are tired and sick and you do not know the meaning of your life, take the Rosary and pray; pray until prayer becomes for you a joyful meeting with your Savior. You have revealed them to the childlike…   July 19, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! In the Gospel for today’s Mass, Jesus rejoices in the Father’s gracious will! He rejoices that the Father chooses to reveal His mysteries to the childlike rather than the wise and the learned! Here is Jesus’ jubilant exclamation: At that time Jesus exclaimed: “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.” (Mt 11:25-27) The Father loves His children! Jesus loves them too! Children depend on their parents, and they trust them in everything. Children listen very carefully to their parents, with open and pure hearts. (Yes, they can be naughty once in a while, but it doesn’t last long!) Children are openhearted! This is the quality Jesus is extolling in the Gospel. In this message, Our Lady shows us the way to become childlike again! She also understands the value of a childlike spirit. Notice how she calls us “children” four times in this message!! She can’t hide her desire for us to be childlike! July 25, 1996 “Dear children! Today I invite you to decide every day for God. Little children, you speak much about God, but you witness little with your life. Therefore, little children, decide for conversion, that your life may be true before God, so that in the truth of your life you witness the beauty God gave you. Little children, I invite you again to decide for prayer because through prayer, you will be able to live the conversion. Each one of you shall become in the simplicity, similar to a child which is open to the love of the Father. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Through our conversion and our desire for truth, we will begin to understand who God is and who we are in relation to Him.
