February 22, 2023 Reflection – Behold, now is a very acceptable time…

Behold, now is a very acceptable time…   February 22, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! “Brothers and sisters: We are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who did not know sin, so that we might become the righteousness of God in him. Working together, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For he says: In an acceptable time I heard you, and on the day of salvation I helped you. Behold, now is a very acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2Cor. 5:20-6:2) This is Ash Wednesday, 2023! We have arrived at a very important time of grace that the Church offers to us. We can take these weeks ahead as an opportunity to put aside our worldly desires and focus on God’s desires for us! What a lovely opportunity!! Our Lady told us: February 25, 2007 “Dear children! Open your heart to God’s mercy in this Lenten time. The heavenly Father desires to deliver each of you from the slavery of sin. Therefore, little children, make good use of this time and through meeting with God in confession, leave sin and decide for holiness. Do this out of love for Jesus, who redeemed you all with his blood, that you may be happy and in peace. Do not forget, little children: your freedom is your weakness, therefore follow my messages with seriousness. Thank you for having responded to my call.” What a loving God we have. He takes us so seriously! He wants us to have a good long time to be healed of our sins and washed clean of all our failures and faults. He loves us. And so He provides this season of Lent as a prolonged time of healing for our souls. Let’s now waste a second of it. Now is the acceptable time! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! February 21, 2023 Reflection – Shrove Tuesday

Shrove Tuesday   February 21, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Today is Shrove Tuesday! We are on the threshold of Lent! Traditionally on this day everyone goes to confession as a preparation for the Lenten time. This makes sense, in that we want to take good stock of our spiritual life, and clear the deck, so to speak, before Lent begins. Then we can spend our Lent building up our spiritual muscles, training ourselves for holiness. But one thing I am experiencing as Lent approaches, is a kind of deep quiet in my soul. I have felt Our Lady calling me to a kind of silence that is new to me. And in that silence, she has been showing me what I can do this Lent. I am so grateful for this help she is giving me. She is asking of me to do some simple but radical things to change my relationship with the Lord and by extension with others. I won’t go into detail, but it seems to be a call to a radical trust and love. So today, I hope to have more quiet time, so that Our Lady can continue to lead me into Lent. I think this message is what I am experiencing: February 25, 2006 “Dear children! In this Lenten time of grace, I call you to open your hearts to the gifts that God desires to give you. Do not be closed, but with prayer and renunciation say ‘yes’ to God and He will give to you in abundance. As in springtime the earth opens to the seed and yields a hundredfold, so also your heavenly Father will give to you in abundance. I am with you and love you, little children, with a tender love. Thank you for having responded to my call.” I never thought of Lent as a time when God would give to me in abundance. But I think it really is. And our prayer and renunciation can become acts of love and trust that we give to the Lord so that He can bless us with gifts. It is a time of a loving exchange with our God. And Our Lady is so excited about it! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

February 20, 2023 Reflection – Simple words…

Simple words…   February 20, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! October 2, 2017 “Dear children, I am speaking to you as a mother – with simple words, but words filled with much love and concern for my children who, through my Son, are entrusted to me. And my Son, who is of the eternal now, He is speaking to you with words of life and is sowing love in open hearts. Therefore, I am imploring you, apostles of my love, have open hearts always ready for mercy and forgiveness. According to my Son, always forgive your neighbors, because in that way peace will be in you. My children, care for your soul, because it alone is what truly belongs to you. You are forgetting the importance of family. A family does not need to be a place of suffering and pain, but a place of understanding and tenderness. Families who strive to live according to my Son live in mutual love. While He was still little, my Son would say to me that all people are His brothers. Therefore, remember, apostles of my love, that all people whom you meet are family to you – brothers according to my Son. My children, do not waste time thinking about the future, worrying. May your only concern be how to live well every moment according to my Son. And there it is – peace for you! My children, do not ever forget to pray for your shepherds. Pray that they can accept all people as their children; that, according to my Son, they may be spiritual fathers to them. Thank you!” Let’s allow Our Lady’s words to sink deeply into our hearts. Simple words, but filled with light! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

February 17, 2023 Reflection – The Gift of Peace

The Gift of Peace   February 17, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! This is a time in which peace is threatened throughout the world. We feel it in our bones. Our countries seem to have lost their balance, as animosity grows between nations and peoples everywhere. The unrest overwhelms us. But Jesus, our King, is still with us. He is the King of Peace. And He is the source of peace. And so we have great hope, that one day this current state of animosity will be conquered by the Lord of Peace. Our Lady has called us to peace, over and over in her messages. I found the word peace at least 611 times in her messages. And indeed, Our Lady told us she has come as the Queen of Peace. She brings us the peace that we so desperately need. And she asks us to give that peace to all we meet. Listen to these two messages about peace: January 25, 2000 “Dear children! I call you, little children, to pray without ceasing. If you pray, you are closer to God and He will lead you on the way of peace and salvation. That is why I call you today to give peace to others. Only in God is there true peace. Open your hearts and become those who give a gift of peace and others will discover peace in you and through you and in this way you will witness God’s peace and love which He gives you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” September 25, 2008 “Dear children! May your life, anew, be a decision for peace. Be joyful carriers of peace and do not forget that you live in a time of grace, in which God gives you great graces through my presence. Do not close yourselves, little children, but make good use of this time and seek the gift of peace and love for your life so that you may become witnesses to others. I bless you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” St. Paul gave a very good recipe for peace in his letter to the Philippians. (I know I just shared this scripture recently, but it is one we need to return to often!!): Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let all men know your forbearance. The Lord is at hand. Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:4-9) No matter what the world is going through, we must be those who give peace. For that, we need to learn how to think peace and be peace!! Jesus and Mary show us how to think and be peace! With them, we can become those who give peace to others. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! February 16, 2023 Reflection – You are not thinking as God does…

You are not thinking as God does…   February 16, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! This is the Gospel for Mass today: Jesus and his disciples set out for the villages of Caesarea Philippi. Along the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?” They said in reply, “John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others one of the prophets.” And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter said to him in reply, “You are the Christ.” Then he warned them not to tell anyone about him. He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and rise after three days. He spoke this openly. Then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. At this he turned around and, looking at his disciples, rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do.”  (Mk 8:27-33) I always marvel at this Gospel. Jesus is walking with His disciples and teaching them along the way. All of of sudden he asks them two questions. The first is “Who do people say that I am?” This is a general question. What are people saying about me? But the second one is directly to them: “But who do you say that I am?” Peter gets it right: “You are the Christ.” But then as they continue walking Jesus tells them what it will mean for Him to be the Christ. He will suffer greatly, be rejected, be killed, and then rise on the third day. Of course they were probably all stunned. But Peter speaks up again, actually rebuking Jesus for having such an idea! Peter gets put in his place, “Get behind me Satan. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do.” What a teaching moment for all the disciples. And for us! God’s ways are not our ways. We can never assume that we are thinking like God. Our goals are short term. We think mostly in terms of this life. We judge by human standards. But the life of Christ we have been given in the Gospels will help us to think as God thinks! And that way of thinking is absolutely mind-blowing! It has a logic that comes from outside our human experience. Just read the Beatitudes! They turn our human logic upside down! Our Lady gave us a long but beautiful message in which she encourages us to read the Gospels. She wants us to think as her Son thinks! She wants us to know Jesus so well that we will carry Him to others. November 2, 2019  “Dear children, my beloved Son always prayed and glorified the Heavenly Father. He always said everything to Him and trusted in His will. This is what you, my children, should also do, because the Heavenly Father always listens to His children. One heart in one heart – love, light and life. The Heavenly Father gave Himself through a human face, and this face is the face of my Son. You, apostles of my love, you should always carry the face of my Son in your hearts and your thoughts. You should always think of His love and His sacrifice. You should pray to always feel His presence, because, apostles of my love, that is the way for you to help all those who do not know my Son, who have not come to know His love. My children, read the book of the Gospel. It is always something new, it is what binds you to my Son who was born to bring the words of life to all of my children and to sacrifice Himself for all. Apostles of my love, carried by the love for my Son, bring love and peace to all of your brothers. Judge no one. Love everyone according to the love for my Son. In this way, you will also be caring for your soul, and it [your soul] is that which is most precious, which truly belongs to you. Thank you.” We should always carry the face of Jesus in our hearts and our thoughts! We should always think of His love and His sacrifices. We should pray to always feel His presence!! Yes, Mother we want very much to do these things! Help us to always think of Jesus! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

February 15, 2023 Reflection – Healing our blindness…

Healing our blindness…   February 15, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Jesus healed many blind people during his public ministry. Today we hear of one such healing… When Jesus and his disciples arrived at Bethsaida, people brought to him a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. Putting spittle on his eyes he laid his hands on the man and asked, “Do you see anything?” Looking up the man replied, “I see people looking like trees and walking.” Then he laid hands on the man’s eyes a second time and he saw clearly; his sight was restored and he could see everything distinctly. Then he sent him home and said, “Do not even go into the village.” (Mark 8:22-26) Jesus worked hard to restore the sight of this poor man. It took effort. Being able to see is so very important! I feel that it was significant that it took two tries to actually correct all his vision. On a spiritual level, we also need to be able to see properly. The eyes of our hearts are so important. If we a blind to the truth, to good and evil, to love and honor, we are the most to be pitied. Jesus came to restore our spiritual sight, even more than our physical sight. And his whole public ministry was an arduous process of restoring humanities spiritual eyes, eyes that see the good and love it, eyes that see God’s mercy and accept it. Without the eyes of our hearts, we are blind to salvation. Our Lady told us so: July 2, 2014 “Dear children, I, the mother of all of you gathered here and the mother of the entire world, am blessing you with a motherly blessing and call you to set out on the way of humility. That way leads to the coming to know the love of my Son. My Son is almighty, He is in everything. If you, my children, do not become cognizant of this, then darkness/blindness rule in your soul. Only humility can heal you. My children, I always lived humbly, courageously and in hope. I knew, I became cognizant that God is in us and we are in God. I am asking the same of you. I desire for all of you to be with me in eternity, because you are a part of me. I will help you on your way. My love will envelop you like a mantle and make of you apostles of my light – of God’s light. With the love that comes forth from humility you will bring light to where darkness/blindness rule. You will be bringing my Son who is the light of the world. I am always alongside your shepherds and I pray that they may always be an example of humility for you… Thank you.” We must allow Jesus to heal the darkness/blindness in our hearts, so that we can be saved, and help others to also escape that darkness/blindness to!! Let us pray, pray, pray! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

February 14, 2023 Reflection – Grasp for the Rosary!

Grasp for the Rosary February 14, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! In the first reading today we hear about the state of humanity in the time of Noah. It is a very depressing picture. Genesis 6:5-8; 7:1-5, 10 – “When the Lord saw how great was man’s wickedness on earth, and how no desire that his heart conceived was ever anything but evil, he regretted that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was grieved. So the Lord said: ‘I will wipe out from the earth the men whom I have created, and not only the men, but also the beasts and the creeping things and the birds of the air, for I am sorry that I made them.’ But Noah found favor with the Lord. Then the Lord said to Noah: “Go into the ark, you and all your household, for you alone in this age have I found to be truly just. ” As I read this gospel, I had a vivid picture of the poison that Satan had sewn into the hearts of Adam and Eve and their descendants. It was putrid green and venomous. Humanity was no match for Satan’s cunning and the human race was in a terrible state. (This makes me feel so sad…) So God wanted to start over. He sent the flood and destroyed all the families of the earth except Noah’s family. There was a new hope of a better tomorrow. But that poison was so strong that it began to overtake humanity once again. Over the centuries, the world fell into a terrible state. The Father then sent His Son, born of Mary, to bring the antidote! His very body and blood as our food. Perhaps that would be the antidote to human depravity. And indeed it is the antidote. Our Church, the Christians of the world, have brought much good, much hope. Even today there is hope, even though it seems that Satan again has taken over many hearts. But the Father has now sent Mary, to be a final defense for humanity. A final barrier against evil. She told us in this message her basic strategy in this time of battle: January 25, 1991 “Dear children! Today, like never before, I invite you to prayer. Let your prayer be a prayer for peace. Satan is strong and desires to destroy not only human life, but also nature and the planet on which you live. Therefore, dear children, pray that through prayer you can protect yourselves with God’s blessing of peace. God has sent me among you so that I may help you. If you so wish, grasp for the rosary. Even the rosary alone can work miracles in the world and in your lives. I bless you and I remain with you for as long as it is God’s will. Thank you for not betraying my presence here and I thank you because your response is serving the good and the peace.” Our Lady has indeed been a great strength and good for us. But the battle has only increased The stakes are high. We all see it today. But Our Lady is with us still, and she is not giving up. Here is her most recent message, in which she tells us the plain truth once again: January 25, 2023 “Dear children! Pray with me for peace, because Satan wants war and hatred in hearts and peoples. Therefore, pray and sacrifice your days by fasting and penance, that God may give you peace. The future is at a crossroads, because modern man does not want God. That is why mankind is heading to perdition. You, little children, are my hope. Pray with me, that what I began in Fatima and here may be realized. Be prayer and witness peace in your surroundings, and be people of peace. Thank you for having responded to my call.” The battle seems to have come to a climax. Our Lady’s call is still the same, her battle plan the same: Pray, fast, do penance, witness peace, and be people of peace! Pray the Rosary so that miracles can abound. This is the time of the Triumph! Many souls are in the balance!! Let us pray, pray, pray!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

February 13, 2023 Reflection – Humble devotion

Humble Devotion   February 13, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! I have been hearing the same word over and over these days. It is a simple word to understand but it seems a difficult word to live. The word is humble. I feel it is a key that unlocks so much for us. We live in a fallen world which resists humility. To survive in a fallen world, we need to fight for our rights, compete for a living, defend ourselves, be self concerned so often. But Jesus demonstrated to us the reverse. To bless instead of curse, to forgive when we have been wronged, to trust the Father for our life instead of struggle to get ahead. And the key to all that Jesus asks of us, we must be humble, that is like a child in complete trust in the Heavenly Father. Our Lady is completely humble. She is our model for humility. What a nice teacher to have! Her messages are our school. If we listen to her, we grow in grace! Here is one message she gave to us about humility: October 2, 2010  “Dear children; Today I call you to a humble, my children, humble devotion. Your hearts need to be just. May your crosses be your means in the battle against the sins of the present time. May your weapon be patience and boundless love, a love that knows to wait and which will make you capable of recognizing God’s signs, that your life, by humble love, may show the truth to all those who seek it in the darkness of lies… My children, my apostles, help me to open the paths to my Son. Once again I call you to pray for your shepherds. Alongside them, I will triumph. Thank you.” Everything is here. All the ways to live for God in humility: humble devotion, justice, accepting our crosses, fighting for souls with patience and boundless love! And then seeing the whole world through the eyes of love which help us to see what God is doing and join in! This way of living is heaven! And the result: that your life, by humble love, may show the truth to all those who seek it in the darkness of lies… This is the way to save souls! Through humble love…Like Mary! Help us Mother to live by humble love!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

February 10, 2023 Reflection – “Full of trust, and without looking back, and without fear…”

“Full of trust, and without looking back, and without fear…” February 10, 2023 St. Scholastica Dear Family of Mary! Jesus loves us in spite of our weaknesses, fears, and sins. He loves us even because of these things. He sees that we are small, needy, and fearful in this world. He came precisely to protect us and lead us to His world, Heaven. His love is so strong. So very strong. And Mother Mary is the same. She is with us in our weaknesses and fears, never leaving our side. I say this today because we need to remember it. This message speaks such truth to us! Let’s pray over it today with open hearts. And I have included the two consecration prayers that we prayed yesterday, so that we can pray them today. Every day!! December 25, 2018 (Jakov) “Dear children, on this day of grace, I am calling you to love. Little children, God loves you immeasurably and that is why, little children, full of trust and without looking back and without fear, completely surrender your hearts to Him so that God may fill them with His love. Do not be afraid to believe in His love and mercy, because His love is stronger than every one of your weaknesses and fears. Therefore, my children, full of love in your hearts, trust in Jesus and say your ‘yes’ to Him, because He is the only way which leads you to the Eternal Father.” “Full of trust, and without looking back, and without fear”, let us follow Jesus and Mary. Let us consecrate our families to them. Today and every day! Consecration to the Heart of Jesus (Given by Our Lady to Jelena Vasilj, 11/28/1983) O Jesus, we know that You are sweet (Mt. 11:29). That you have given Your heart for us (i.e. our family). It was crowned with thorns by our sins. We know that today You still pray for us so that we will not be lost. Jesus, remember us if we fall into sin. Through Your most Sacred Heart, make us all love one another. Cause hatred to disappear among men. Show us Your love. All of us love You. And we desire that you protect us with Your Heart of the Good Shepherd. Enter into each heart, Jesus! Knock on the door of our hearts. Be patient and tenacious with us. We are still locked up in ourselves, because we have not understood Your will. Knock continuously, Oh Jesus. Make our hearts open up to you, at least in reminding us of the passion which you suffered for us. Amen Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Given by Our Lady to Jelena Vasilj, 11/28/1983) O Immaculate Heart of Mary, overflowing with goodness, Show us (i.e. our family) your love for us. May the flame of your heart, Oh Mary, Descend upon all peoples. We love you immensely. Impress in our hearts a true love. May our hearts yearn for you. Oh Mary, sweet and humble of heart, Remember us when we sin. You know that all mankind are sinners. Through your most sacred and maternal heart, Cure us from every spiritual illness. Make us capable of looking at the beauty of your maternal heart, And that, thus, we may be converted by the flame of your heart. Amen In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023 PS. February 9, 2023 Reflection – Consecrate yourselves as parents, as families…

Consecrate yourselves as parents, as families…   February 9, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! In the first reading at Holy Mass today we hear the account of how God created Eve from a rib from Adam’s side, and gave her to him as his partner. God first taught Adam that he would not be content with any of the animals in Eden as his partner, by presenting them to him. Adam just knew they were not a match. So then God put Adam to sleep and took a rib from his side, and fashioned Eve. When Adam saw her he was sure she was the one he could live his life with. And in this way, our family structure was initiated by God! But as we know, the devil hates family life as God intended, and from the very beginning laid traps in our lives to ruin what God had intended. And so it goes to this day. We are beset with temptations, weaknesses, difficulties, lies and deceptions that can ruin our family life. The trials we encounter can ruin our families if we are not under the protection of Jesus and Mary. We simply cannot fight off the devil on our own. Listen to Our Lady’s call to us from Medjugorje: October 25, 1988 “Dear children! My invitation that you live the messages which I am giving you is a daily one, specially, little children, because I want to draw you closer to the Heart of Jesus. Therefore, little children, I am inviting you today to the prayer of consecration to Jesus, my dear Son, so that each of you may be His. And then I am inviting you to the consecration to my Immaculate Heart. I want you to consecrate yourselves as parents, as families and as parishioners so that all belong to God through my heart. Therefore, little children, pray that you comprehend the greatness of this message which I am giving you. I do not want anything for myself, rather all for the salvation of your soul. Satan is strong and therefore, you, little children, by constant prayer, press tightly against my motherly heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.” The Consecration to Jesus and Mary for our families is a powerful protection from the enemy. We ask Jesus and Mary to place us in their hearts, and surround us with their powerful protection from evil. We ask that they guard our minds and hearts from the lies of the devil. We ask that they show us the truth. And we ask that we can be forgiven when we fall. We need this protection. And so I am presenting to you the Consecration prayers that Our Lady dictated to Jelena Vasilj. They can be prayed each day for the protection and blessing of your family. There are other beautiful prayers for consecration, but these two prayers come from Our Lady, herself. At any rate, let’s not miss a day consecrating our families to Jesus and Mary. The need has never been greater!
