March 10, 2021 Update – A prayer for healing!

A Prayer for healing! March 10, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! September 11, 1986 “Dear children! For these days while you are joyfully celebrating the Cross, I desire that your cross also would be a joy for you. Especially, dear children, pray that you may be able to accept sickness and suffering with love the way Jesus accepted them. Only that way shall I be able with joy to give out to you the graces and healings which Jesus is permitting me. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Today, as we fast, let us pray for healing from Jesus, using a prayer Fr. Slavko wrote: Prayer for Healing (For important moments in one’s life, but this prayer can even be prayed every day) Lord Jesus, You came for the sick and the sinners. That is why I turn to you and I pray that You heal my body and my soul. You know that sin devastates and destroys human beings and makes human relationships and the relationship with You impossible. But for You, there is no sin or sickness that You cannot drive away with Your all powerful Word. There is no wound that You cannot heal. Mary, You called me to pray for healing. I would like to do that now. That is why I pray to you: accompany my prayer with your faith! Pray now with me so that I become worthy to receive the Grace of God, for myself and for those close to me who are sick and weak. Come Lord! “Then he got into the boat followed by his disciples. Suddenly a storm broke over the lake, so violent that the boat was being swamped by the waves. But he was asleep. So they went to him and woke him saying, ‘Save us Lord, we are lost!’ And he said to them, ‘Why are you so frightened, you have so little faith?’ And then he stood up and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. They were astounded and said, ‘What ever kind of man is this that even the winds and the sea obey him?’” Lord Jesus, You entered into the storms of this world. You have gotten into the boat of every life. You are here, because Your name is Emanuel, God with us, God for us. That is why I say to You now: come into my life! The boat of my life is also swamped by the waves. Enter into my unrest and agitation! Enter into my conscience and sub-conscience! Enter, my Jesus, into the depths of my being! I’m drowning! Order my unrest to become calm, order the waves of death encircling me to stop threatening me. Say a work, so that my heart is soothed, so that it hears Your word, the Word of God, which makes everything new again. (Remain in silence) Come, Lord Jesus, get into the boat of my family and into the boat of all people. May our cries awaken You. Stretch out You hand so that a profound silence is established. Come Lord Jesus, come! Come to that place where I am the most wounded. Lord Jesus, get into every boat of life which is not moving forward because it is blocked by bad habits, by drugs, by alcohol or physical pleasures. Lord Jesus, calm the storm! Make everyone hear Your voice which brings Peace. Decision Lord Jesus, You are sitting in the boat of my life. You are my God. I adore You, I glorify You, because You alone are holy. You alone are the Lord. I believe in You and in trusting You, I hand everything over to You. I decide for Your Love and mercy. I say, with You and Your Mother; may Your will be done in health and sickness, and in success and failure, in joy and sadness, in the present and in eternity.Lord Jesus, I was uncertain, I did not always seek the good, I affirmed my will, and I was wounded. Heal me of my unbelief and of the resistance that I feel each time I don’t understand the Will of the Father. Mary, give me the grace to decide once and for all. Help me so that I don’t go back on my word and that I remain ever faithful. I renounce… Lord Jesus, I renounce all sin. I renounce satan, his power, his lies, and his promises. I renounce all idols and their spiritual bondage. I renounce each refusal to reconciliation, each hate and arrogance in life. I renounce all desires which have tried to make me forget the Will of the Father. I renounce spiritual diseases and negligence so that You, Lord Jesus can come into my life. Mother Mary, help me to crush the head of satan in my life. Prayer for love “You have heard how it was said, You will love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say this to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you so that you may be children of your Father in heaven.” Lord Jesus, You called us to love…I admit that my love is weak. Heal me from the wounds that sin, especially the lack of love, has caused in me and which now prevent me from loving You more that anything else. Heal my heart of the painful legacy which I brought into this world because of the sins of the world. Heal my soul of all of the burdens which have accumulated during my childhood and youth. May the fire of love, inflamed by the grace of healing, drive away from me all darkness, and stamp out sin. Make my love perfect, so that I can love everyone with all of my heart, even those who have angered me. Because too often, my Jesus, when I have to forgive the wrong done to me by others, I know that my love is very weak. Forgive my envy and jealousy which I have afflicted on my neighbors and on myself! Heal my faith in You as well! May the grace of trust eliminate all mistrust and every source of fear. Heal me because in words, thoughts, and actions I am often an unbeliever. Lord Jesus, heal the love in my family also, so that it is like Your Holy Family. Heal the love between spouses, between children and their parents, between the healthy and sick members. Lord Jesus, heal the love in all humanity! (Remain in silence. Pray silently for the grace of love for every person you don’t love at the present moment and have not yet forgiven.) (From “Medjugorje and Father Slavko Barbaric.” Les Editions Sakramento 2016) Every day is a day to be healed!! Don’t forget St. Joseph!! Dear St. Joseph, foster father of us all, we love you! You so faithfully stayed by the side of Mary when she gave Jesus to the world the first time. Help us now in our turn to stay faithfully by her side as she gives Him to us anew.. Dear St. Joseph, you were always strong and resolute – in Bethlehem, in Egypt, and in Nazareth. You never wavered from the side of Mary. Help us to be strong and resolute and to never waver from her side. Dear St. Joseph, help us to be faithful to the call of Our Lady and to witness to her presence in these days. St. Joseph, pray for us!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! March 9, 2021 Update – How often must we forgive!

How often must we forgive? March 9, 2021 St. Frances of Rome Dear Family of Mary! In the beginning of our Gospel for today Peter asks Jesus a question: “Peter approached Jesus and asked him, ‘Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times…’ ” (Matthew 18:21-22) Jesus’ answer is meant to show that there really is no end to forgiveness. We must forgive and forgive and forgive. To forgive is to love, to love even as God loves. It shows how far we will go to repair our relationships with one another, even as God wishes to repair our relationship with Him. Our Lady has stressed the importance of forgiveness in her messages. Here are five messages that we could meditate upon today, perhaps during our family Rosary. Her words are encouraging but serious! Forgiveness is a work of love! January 25, 2015 “Dear children! Also today I call you: live your vocation in prayer. Now, as never before, Satan wants to suffocate man and his soul by his contagious wind of hatred and unrest. In many hearts there is no joy because there is no God or prayer. Hatred and war are growing from day to day. I am calling you, little children, begin anew, with enthusiasm, the walk of holiness and love; since I have come among you because of this. Together let us be love and forgiveness for all those who know and want to love only with a human love and not with that immeasurable love of God to which God calls you. Little children, may hope in a better tomorrow always be in your heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.” January 25, 2020 “Dear children! Today I am calling you to pray even more, until you feel the holiness of forgiveness in your heart. There must be holiness in the families, little children, because there is no future for the world without love and holiness – because in holiness and joy, you give yourselves to God the Creator who loves you with immeasurable love. This is why He sends me to you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” July 2, 2009 “Dear children! I am calling you because I need you. I need hearts ready for immeasurable love. Hearts that are not burdened by vanity. Hearts that are ready to love as my Son loved, that are ready to sacrifice themselves as my Son sacrificed Himself. I need you. In order to come with me, forgive yourselves, forgive others and adore my Son. Adore Him also for those who have not come to know Him, those who do not love Him… Therefore, I need you. Therefore, I call you. Thank you.” January 2, 2010 “Dear children, Today I am calling you to, with complete trust and love, set out with me because I desire to acquaint you with my Son. Do not be afraid, my children, I am here with you; I am next to you. I am showing you the way to forgive yourselves, to forgive others, and, with sincere repentance of heart, to kneel before the Father. Make everything die in you that hinders you from loving and saving, that you may be with Him and in Him. Decide for a new beginning, a beginning of sincere love of God Himself. Thank you.” September 2, 2010 “Dear children; I am beside you because I desire to help you to overcome trials, which this time of purification puts before you. My children, one of those is not to forgive, and not to ask for forgiveness. Every sin offends love and distances you from it and love is my Son. Therefore, my children, if you desire to walk with me towards the peace of God’s love, you must learn to forgive and to ask for forgiveness. Thank you.” Dear St. Joseph, please pray for us that we might forgive all those who have harmed us and also to forgive ourselves. May we be people of mercy like our Lord Jesus and our Mother Mary! Dear St. Joseph, foster father of us all, we love you! You so faithfully stayed by the side of Mary when she gave Jesus to the world. Help us now in our turn stay faithfully by her side as she gives Him to us anew… She told us in this message: “Dear children! Today I call you to pray and fast for my intentions, because Satan wants to destroy my plan. Here I began with this parish and invited the entire world. Many have responded, but there is an enormous number of those who do not want to hear or accept my call. Therefore, you who have said ‘yes’, be strong and resolute. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (August 25, 2011) Dear St. Joseph, you were always strong and resolute – in Bethlehem, in Egypt, and in Nazareth. You never wavered from the side of Mary. Help us to be strong and resolute and to never waver from her side. “My children, be my apostles who have not lived in vain. Do not forget that you will come before the Heavenly Father and tell Him about yourself. Be ready!” (April 2, 2013) Dear St. Joseph, help us to be faithful to the call of Our Lady and to witness to her presence in these days. St. Joseph, pray for us!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! March 8, 2021 Update – I want to teach you to love!

I want to teach you to love! March 8, 2021 St. John of God Dear Family of Mary! Our Gospel for today has always intrigued me.  It is Luke4:24-30: Jesus said to the people in the synagogue at Nazareth: “Amen, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own native place. Indeed, I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah when the sky was closed for three and a half years and a severe famine spread over the entire land. It was to none of these that Elijah was sent, but only to a widow in Zarephath in the land of Sidon. Again, there were many lepers in Israel during the time of Elisha the prophet; yet not one of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.” When the people in the synagogue heard this, they were all filled with fury. They rose up, drove him out of the town, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their town had been built, to hurl him down headlong. But he passed through the midst of them and went away.  (Luke 4:24-30) Jesus must have been teaching in that synagogue and had sensed that the people did not believe His prophetic words.  And so He used Elijah and Elisha as examples of prophets being rejected by their own people. Clearly the people would get the point.  Jesus had words from God for them and they were not receiving them.  But let’s not forget, this synagogue was in Nazareth!  This was Jesus’ home town.  Not only were these people fellow Jews; they were Jesus’ neighbors and probably relatives as well.  This group thought they knew Jesus pretty well.  And they could not believe that Jesus was anything like Elijah or Elisha.  He was just a hometown boy. And so they got so worked up that they tried to kill him. How could Jesus’ neighbors and relatives get so worked up?  How could they try to kill Jesus?  His mother must have been there. Think how Our Lady must have felt!!  This scene is very disturbing to me. It is a preview of things to come for Jesus.  Because at the end of His public ministry, He would be treated in just the same way in Jerusalem, but this time He would not be able to pass through the midst of the crowd and go away.  He would be crucified. Neighbors.  It is not easy to maintain good relationships with our neighbors, and even with our family members.  We just know each other too well.  But Our Lady has asked us to love our neighbors, as has Jesus.  Even if they reject us, we must love them.  Here is one message: December 2, 2004 “Dear children, I come to you as a mother, who, above all, loves her children. My children, I want to teach you to love! I pray for this! I pray that in each of your neighbors you recognize my Son, because the path to my Son, who is true peace and love, leads you through love towards your neighbors. My children, pray and fast that your hearts be open for this my intention.” The way to Jesus is through love of neighbor.  It isn’t easy, but it is what Jesus models for us.  Because Jesus accepted His death on the cross for those very neighbors and relatives who tried to kill him.  We too must love our relatives and neighbors with forgiving and generous love.  Our Lady tells us that loving our neighbors is her intention for us.  She really wants this to happen in us. Maybe we can remember the reaction that Jesus’ neighbors had to Him and try to love those we have had a problem with.  Just a smile or a kind act is enough to change everything.  Lent is all about changing our lives for the better. March 6, 2021 Update – Stay by Our Lady’s side!

Stay by Our Lady’s side! March 6, 2021 Dear Family of Mary TV, Apostles of Our Lady of Medjugorje, In preparation for St. Joseph’s Feast Day I’d like to share an excerpt from our Rosary last Sunday, March 1st. Cathy and I were praying with our shipmates, sailing upon the digital sea. Starting at 29:15 https://marytv.tv/daily-rosary/?smid=iR9lkzsY1lo&slid=KvLDfhJvsur Denis: “Mary is not just visiting us, she’s staying with us.” Cathy: “Well, I have something to say about that. Because it’s not just her, deciding to stay with us. She said in the last message, February 25, 2021: ‘Dear children! God has permitted me to be with you also today.’ It sounds like it’s almost a day by day process with the Lord. ‘OK, you can go back today. OK. You can go back today.’ Denis: “’You can stay!’ She doesn’t leave!” Cathy: “Well, listen. I was thinking about that at Mass yesterday, that the Lord has permitted her to be with us also today. OK. And I was thinking about this message too. It’s full of hope! And of light. And of life. Everything she says points to hope. Actually it took me by surprise because if I were left to my own devices I would be thinking only about sad, negative, difficult, end times kind of things and it’s not such a nice world that we see that way. But it occurred to me after reading that message that she brings heavenly light to our situation. It’s like all the colors and the life come back when I look through her. But when we think with our own minds and with our own wisdom it’s all black and white and very sad. The life is kind of sapped out of it, because from our perspective we can’t see what God is doing, we can only see what we think is going on and it doesn’t look so good. But God knows what he’s doing. “So anyway, the fact that the first thing she said was, ‘God has permitted me to be with you also today,’  it kind of stirred up in me this wonder at the fact that she is, and we can’t take it for granted. So, when I left Mass Sunday, yesterday, we had heard the Transfiguration account, so I was thinking about Moses. I just thought, “What if we had Moses with us. Wouldn’t that be cool. We need some kind of leadership.” So I just said this prayer. I begged Moses. I said, “Come to our aid. In these days we need you!” I said this to Moses, and I’ve never prayed to Moses before (it was kind of odd) but as soon as I prayed that way I heard these words in my heart …. “You do not need me. Indeed you have someone far greater – of far greater holiness and power with you in these days. She is all you need!” And then Cathy continued: “It was like Bang! You don’t need me! You have someone much more powerful with you every day. She’s all you need. Our Lady! And this gives me such hope….” Our Lady has been sent to us in these days because she is the only one who can defeat the enemy. She was given that promise by God in Genesis 3: 16. She will defeat the devil and his plan, but she needs her children by her side. Our Lady has told us from Medjugorje:  “God has placed His complete trust in me,” (August 31, 1982).  “My children, consecrate yourselves to me completely,“ (March 18, 2012). This is how we will stay by her side, and help her. This is what we want to do! To give ourselves to her completely. But we need help. And she told us as much when she said to us: Invoke the help of all the saints, for them to be an example and a help to you. (October 25, 2020) There is no saint who can be a better example or help to us right now than St. Joseph!   St. Joseph had no agenda of his own but faithfully stayed by Mary’s side. We are called to help her in this all important mission that God has given her. So let us pray to St. Joseph as we approach his feast day: Dear St. Joseph, you were always strong and resolute – in Bethlehem, in Egypt, and in Nazareth. You stayed faithful to Our Lady, never leaving her side. Help us to be strong and resolute now that it’s our turn to stay by her side as she gives her Son anew. Our Mother is calling to us: “I need you. I cannot do without you my children,” (January 2, 2013); “I am calling you because I need you. Accept the mission!” (September 2, 2012); “With you, I can realize my plans,” (June 25, 2016). St Joseph, help us fulfill our mission! Help us respond to her call! God bless you, Denis Nolan

March 5, 2021 Reflection – Having recourse to Mary!

Having recourse to Mary! March 5, 2021 First Friday Dear Family of Mary! “…Little children, believe and live this time of grace in faith and with faith; and my Immaculate Heart does not leave any of you in peacelessness if you have recourse to me…”  (February 25, 2021) Our Lady will give us her peace in every situation, if we turn to her.  If we look to her and trustingly ask her to help us, she will show us the way and give us her deep and abiding peace, the peace of her Son. I want to share a story that Frano Zubac shared on the most recent Jesus Rosary.  It is about how Our Lady prepared him for a difficult year in the Jugoslav army, and not only gave him peace, but allowed that peace to flow to the other soldiers.  It is incredible and will give us all hope in these difficult days.  Our Lady will not leave us, and her presence is our peace. Franjo Zubac – Jesus Rosary, 03/03/21 I am inspired to share with you something that happened to me in 1985 and 1986.  I am going to talk to you about the Jugoslav army.  I always wondered why every evening when I would come to the Church in Medjugorje, I would be stopped by the Communist Militia and they would write my name, my surname, etc. into their black book.  And every evening, again and again, it happened.  I wondered to myself what will come of this.  One night, a young policeman called me out of my car and said to me, “Do you really want to live in this country?”  And I said, “Yes, of course.” He said, “Well, your name is every day in the black book.”  And I said, “Well what can I do?” And he said, “Well, think about it.”  And I was puzzled.  I knew there was opposition everywhere.  Everywhere you would go if you mentioned Medjugorje or they would know you are from this area, then you are disliked person.  If you go to Sarajevo, if you go to Mostar, or you go around the university… But at that time we had started prayer at the Church and then we stared the prayer group. Our Lady started the prayer group through Jelena (1983).  At the end of 1985 I was called to the Jugoslav Army.  Every young man was obliged to go into the army for one year.  So they called me, and the last day they gave us the camp where we were to go for one year.  Almost everyone was sent nearby, but the commander said to me, smiling, “I will have to give you more money than anybody else for your ticket…” It meant my journey was going to be longer!  The other boys would be nearby so on the weekend they could come home.  But they shipped me to Macedonia.  It took two days and one night by train.  It meant “bye, bye”.  You can’t come back home.  That was my reward. So I came to the camp at night, in Macedonia, and the first thing that they searched for was a Bible in my pack.  I brought a notebook with a black cover and they said, there it is!  And they opened it, and nothing was written there. But I would like to share something precious with you.  Before I left for the army, I received a message from Our Lady.  A personal message through Jelena who was in our prayer group.  I didn’t expect it.  I hadn’t talked about anything.  Jelena just came up with a little piece of paper on which she wrote this message.  She said that Our Lady had sent a message to me. And Our Lady said to me:  I will be always with you.  Don’t be afraid.  You won’t be able to go to church for Holy Mass for one year.  You won’t be able to read the Bible.  But I will be with you.  And only when you go to bed or when you are on your own you can say your prayers.” It happened exactly that way.  Nothing was different.  So when they checked for the Bible in the “intake” building of the camp, the army men came and searched for a Bible and such things, because a lot of information had been sent about me months earlier.  It was the information the police had gathered all those years about my going to church very night, about how I supported Medjugorje. All my characteristics had been sent.  The Yugoslavian officials were searching everyone’s information to find out about us. So when I entered the camp, I was so happy.  There were young boys from all over the former Yugoslavia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia…all the same age.  I was quite happy.  But then they started the political classes, including their indoctrination about religion.  They said that the constitution of Yugoslavia allowed all religions.  But the Communists were on top.  There were about 100 of us in the classroom.  And the officer said, “Is there anyone here who believes in God?”  And I stood up, along with one friend from Split.  Goodness me.  When we stood up, the people screamed at us.   “You believe in God???”  I looked at the boy who was in the bunk above me, and said, “You said last night you celebrate your feast day!”  And he said, “Yes, but you shouldn’t say this in front of the officers.”  I said, “Why not?”  So that is what happened the first time I witnessed. So we learn here (in Medjugorje) how to pray, how to carry peace in your heart, how to share your peace with others.  But in the camp, you can’t go to church, to Holy Mass to recharge your batteries.  You can’t read the Bible. You have to obey the officer and do whatever he tells you.  How to fight, how to kill.  It was unbelievable.  It felt like I fell from heaven into a monkey’s nest. The significance?  Every Monday morning the thousands of soldiers in the camp would be standing at attention, and the colonel would stand before us with a microphone and give a political talk.  So every Monday the top of the Communist party, the General and the Colonel, would talk about the counter revolution, about the enemy abroad, and the enemy within, and fascism and nationalism, and he mentioned Fr. Jozo, even though he said his name wrong.  (He only read it and couldn’t pronounce his name).  He also mentioned the Gospa from Bosnia.  Our Lady was in Hercegovina, but they didn’t know this either. Gospa from Bosnia and Fr. Jozo…. It was trying.  You had to stand still for more than half an hour and listen to them.  The main culprits were Fr. Jozo and Our Lady from Bosnia. I wondered why he spoke about Fr. Jozo and Gospa.  Gospa came to Medjugorje, and the first message was “God exists!”  And all their ideology, Marxism and Leninism, is “God does not exist.”  So they were really strongly attacked by the apparition of Our Lady.  He said this with anger! Their ideology had been attacked by her one statement;” God exists.” They made me present the teaching of their political theory in front of the class.  I would present everything as “Marx said that. Lennon said that.”  They would ask me if I agreed, and I would just say, that is what they said! After one year, since I was quite skilled in the mine fields, bridges, etc. they gave me 10 days off early. How to share the fruit of prayer with people who were Godless?  What can I share.  I couldn’t talk about the Gospel or God? But I could share peace from my heart with them.  I had good friendship with all the men in the camp.  I was friendly and kind.  We remember each other as friends.  Because I see in all of them friends…I see in them brothers.  Same God, Same Father.  But the real experience with Godless people for one year taught me so much. Ivan (visionary) also had to go for one year.  But he went to Slovenia.  I asked him when he returned if he was ok.  And he said yes, the officer knew about him and didn’t give him a hard time. Many people who come to Medjugorje experience prayer, fasting, conversion.  Then they go home.  But they say that when they go home, they lose the peace and prayer.  They say they have to come back to Medjugorje.  So they come back to recharge their battery and then go home. I have been thinking about that.  Losing it and gaining it back.  I see it is the natural way.  The way we spread the peace and love to our brothers, without talking about it, we can do that.  They recognize the peace in our hearts.  And peace in our personality.  And that peace goes to that person.  It is very hard, but it works. So the way that Our Lady wants us to gain peace, is by praying for peace, because peace is the greatest gift to us from God.  It cannot come from other people.  Peace is only a gift from God to our heart.  And we share that peace to others. So Our Lady wants us to pray for peace.  She came with the title, Queen of Peace. So we will pray now for peace in our heart so we can share it with all those people who don’t believe in God, those who are far away from God.  But we can share with them peace!  Peace from our heart…. Jesus Rosary, 3/3/21 https://marytv.tv/jesus-rosary/ “…Little children, believe and live this time of grace in faith and with faith; and my Immaculate Heart does not leave any of you in peacelessness if you have recourse to me…”  (February 25, 2021) St. Joseph, help us to have recourse to Mary, so that we can receive her peace and share it with others. In Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! March 4, 2021 Reflection – Wars can be suppressed!

Wars can be supressed! March 4, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! “…I repeat to you, little children, that with prayer and fasting also wars can be suppressed…” (February 25, 2021) Our Lady repeats many things in her messages!  Mothers always repeat.  They know that children need to hear important things over and over again, until those truths sink deeply into their working memory.  “Wash your hands before you sit down to the table.” “Brush your teeth before you go to bed.”  “Say thank you!”  “Pray the Rosary every day.” Our mothers have been given a powerful role in our development. And so, Our Heavenly Mother also repeats many things to us.  And one of them is: “…I repeat to you, little children, that with prayer and fasting also wars can be suppressed…” Truly, Our Lady does not want us to forget this good advice.  War is always a possibility in our poor world.  There is so much brokenness, so many souls in great distress and in great sin.  War is always possible when sin abounds, because the devil can incite it so easily in such an environment.  Nothing makes the devil happier than when we are destroying one another. Our job is to bring the healing grace of Jesus upon those souls in distress and sin, through our prayer and fasting.  God will accept our prayer and fasting and respond with His miraculous graces of conversion and peace. Here are three messages in which Our Lady spoke of wars being stopped through prayer and fasting.  Let’s listen to Our Mother’s repeated call and take it deeply into our hearts. July 21, 1982 “The best fast is on bread and water. Through fasting and prayer, one can stop wars, one can suspend the laws of nature. Charity cannot replace fasting. Those who are not able to fast can sometime replace it with prayer, charity and a confession; but everyone, except the sick, must fast.” January 25, 2001 “Dear children! Today I call you to renew prayer and fasting with even greater enthusiasm until prayer becomes a joy for you. Little children, the one who prays is not afraid of the future and the one who fasts is not afraid of evil. Once again, I repeat to you: only through prayer and fasting also wars can be stopped – wars of your unbelief and fear for the future. I am with you and am teaching you little children: your peace and hope are in God. That is why draw closer to God and put Him in the first place in your life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” February 25, 2003 “Dear children! Also today I call you to pray and fast for peace. As I have already said and now repeat to you, little children, only with prayer and fasting can wars also be stopped. Peace is a precious gift from God. Seek, pray and you will receive it. Speak about peace and carry peace in your hearts. Nurture it like a flower which is in need of water, tenderness and light. Be those who carry peace to others. I am with you and intercede for all of you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” St. Joseph, please help us to hear Our Mother’s call to prayer and fasting! PS. March 2, 2021 Reflection – Fasting…

Fasting… March 2, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! God has permitted me to be with you also today, to call you to prayer and fasting…” (February 25, 2021 Message) We are in the second week of Lent. It is not too late to start a plan of prayer and fasting for these days of grace. I want to share with you some wonderful words of encouragement about fasting. They come from Fr. Daniel Maria Klimek, T.O.R. Fr. Daniel is doing a weekly program on Mary TV called “Living the Message”. I highly recommend his programs!!! And on his latest show, “Living the Messages – 011 – How to Fast”, Fr. Daniel gives some excellent advice on fasting. I will transcribe a section of his talk for you here but you will want to watch the whole video on Mary TV: I got a really good question from a viewer. The question was, “What are the different ways of fasting?” It is such a good question, not only because there are different ways, but because when we combine them, we enter a more wholistic spirituality. There are various benefits that fasting can have. There are spiritual benefits, but I also believe that fasting, if we look at it in diverse ways can even help us socially to become better communicators, to become better listeners, to become better friends. There are certain fasts that are mental or verbal fasts that not only help us in the battle of sin but also in the area of human development and communication. So let me give you an example. Let’s say you are someone who really struggles with pride. Maybe pride is an issue. One fast you could consider is a verbal fast. It is to go a whole week, and then extend it to the next week, step by step…without speaking about yourself. That could be difficult for some people. Maybe you are one of these people who loves to be the center of attention. The person who holds court at the table, the person who is the story teller. And yes, this could be really asking for a lot. But you know what will happen, not only will there be growth in terms of interior humility, but also there will be such social benefits. Because you will be forced to discover more about the people around you. You will be forced to have deeper conversations. You will be encouraged to actually ask deeper questions about who they are, what are their experiences. And of course there are other ways of fasting. In addition to this verbal fasting where you decide not to talk about yourself as much, there is also an intentional decision not to gossip, to be very careful about your speech in general, and also the mental, the interior. Let’s say you are someone who struggles with negative thinking. Maybe negative thoughts come into your mind often. Maybe it is negative thoughts about various people. Here is a strategy. When a negative thought enters about a person that you usually dwell on, that you usually entertain, turn it into a prayer! That’s right, turn it into a form of spiritual intercession. Start to pray instantaneously for that person who has entered your mind. Why is that powerful? Because you have taken something that could be a potential vice, this inner judgmentalism, and you have transformed it into something sacred. A prayer for the individual. An act of intercession. So there is an interior cleansing of your mind that is happening, and there is also grace that enters the world for that soul who needs it. So you notice how this interior fasting can become a spiritual discipline. And help a person to become an intercessor in their lives. Fr. Daniel Maria Klimek, T.O.R – Living the Message! https://marytv.tv/living-the-message-2/?smid=iRxxfcsY1Tk&slid=OrRUoFrsi1j Fr. Daniel went on to talk about bodily fasting. The whole talk is very helpful. You can view it on our website at the link above. Let’s not waste a moment of this time of grace!! Let’s ramp up our prayer and fasting! St. Joseph, help us to pray and fast as you did: Prayer to St. Joseph (adapted from St. Bernardine of Siena) Oh my beloved St. Joseph, adopt me as thy child. Take charge of my salvation; watch over me day and night; preserve me from the occasions of sin; obtain for me purity of body. Through thy intercession with Jesus, grant me a spirit of sacrifice, humility, self-denial, burning love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and a sweet and tender love for Mary, my mother. March 1, 2021 Reflection – God has permitted me to be with you…

God has permitted me to be with you… March 1, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! God has permitted me to be with you also today, to call you to prayer and fasting. Live this time of grace and be witnesses of hope, because I repeat to you, little children, that with prayer and fasting also wars can be suppressed. Little children, believe and live this time of grace in faith and with faith; and my Immaculate Heart does not leave any of you in peacelessness if you have recourse to me. I intercede for you before the Most High and I pray for peace in your hearts and for hope for the future. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (February 25, 2021) I feel like it is important to look at this message as a whole before taking it line by line.  When I read it all at once, I have the most profound sense of peace.  It is as if Our Lady is showing us this moment in time in picture form as God sees it.  And I feel like our way of seeing this time is only seeing the “negative” of that picture.  We see everything in black and white, with shadows all through it.  But if we could see the true picture of our world right now, we would see brilliant colors with breathtaking beauty and joy. For instance, Our Lady tells us the God has permitted her to be with us also today.  Seen in God’s positive light, Our Lady’s presence is His provision for yet another day, another month.  Could we ask for anything more? After Holy Mass yesterday in which we heard the Transfiguration account, I felt led to pray to Moses, to beg him to come to our aid in these days, because we need help!  But as soon as I prayed this, I heard these words in my heart, “You do not need me, for indeed your have someone of far greater holiness and power with you in these days.  She is all you need.”  My heart was flooded with faith and hope.  For of course this is true!  Our Lady is far more powerful than even Moses! And she has told us “God has permitted me to be with you also today!”  What is there to fear? It is the same when she speaks of prayer and fasting, of suppressing wars, of living this time of grace in faith and with faith, of Her Immaculate Heart never leaving us in peacelessness, and on and on! This message is manna for this month.  If we read and pray it each day, we may soon see things in vibrant color, in the truth of God’s provision and His love! St. Joseph, please help us to see our time as Our Lady sees it, as Our Father in Heaven sees it, so that we can help her by prayer and fasting, peace and hope! Prayer to St. Joseph (adapted from St. Bernardine of Siena) Oh my beloved St. Joseph, adopt me as thy child. Take charge of my salvation; watch over me day and night; preserve me from the occasions of sin; obtain for me purity of body. February 26, 2021 Reflection – If you have recourse to me!

If you have recourse to me! February 26, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Yesterday we received a beautiful message from Our Lady!  I will send it out in full today as well, because I think it is very important.  Our Lady in the message calls us to prayer and fasting.  But it is not out of desperation!  She wants us to pray and fast in order to be filled with faith, and peace and hope in the future!  This is so important for us now in these days.  We must listen to her Heart!!  It is a Heart full of truth for us. So as we pray about this message, let’s allow Our Lady to embrace us, so close that we can hear her heart beat!  It is a heart full of love for us, and we need to hear that heart beat of love constantly so that we can grow in peace and hope and love! Here again is the message: “Dear children!
