March 4, 2021 Reflection – Wars can be suppressed!

Wars can be supressed! March 4, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! “…I repeat to you, little children, that with prayer and fasting also wars can be suppressed…” (February 25, 2021) Our Lady repeats many things in her messages!  Mothers always repeat.  They know that children need to hear important things over and over again, until those truths sink deeply into their working memory.  “Wash your hands before you sit down to the table.” “Brush your teeth before you go to bed.”  “Say thank you!”  “Pray the Rosary every day.” Our mothers have been given a powerful role in our development. And so, Our Heavenly Mother also repeats many things to us.  And one of them is: “…I repeat to you, little children, that with prayer and fasting also wars can be suppressed…” Truly, Our Lady does not want us to forget this good advice.  War is always a possibility in our poor world.  There is so much brokenness, so many souls in great distress and in great sin.  War is always possible when sin abounds, because the devil can incite it so easily in such an environment.  Nothing makes the devil happier than when we are destroying one another. Our job is to bring the healing grace of Jesus upon those souls in distress and sin, through our prayer and fasting.  God will accept our prayer and fasting and respond with His miraculous graces of conversion and peace. Here are three messages in which Our Lady spoke of wars being stopped through prayer and fasting.  Let’s listen to Our Mother’s repeated call and take it deeply into our hearts. July 21, 1982 “The best fast is on bread and water. Through fasting and prayer, one can stop wars, one can suspend the laws of nature. Charity cannot replace fasting. Those who are not able to fast can sometime replace it with prayer, charity and a confession; but everyone, except the sick, must fast.” January 25, 2001 “Dear children! Today I call you to renew prayer and fasting with even greater enthusiasm until prayer becomes a joy for you. Little children, the one who prays is not afraid of the future and the one who fasts is not afraid of evil. Once again, I repeat to you: only through prayer and fasting also wars can be stopped – wars of your unbelief and fear for the future. I am with you and am teaching you little children: your peace and hope are in God. That is why draw closer to God and put Him in the first place in your life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” February 25, 2003 “Dear children! Also today I call you to pray and fast for peace. As I have already said and now repeat to you, little children, only with prayer and fasting can wars also be stopped. Peace is a precious gift from God. Seek, pray and you will receive it. Speak about peace and carry peace in your hearts. Nurture it like a flower which is in need of water, tenderness and light. Be those who carry peace to others. I am with you and intercede for all of you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” St. Joseph, please help us to hear Our Mother’s call to prayer and fasting! Dear St. Joseph, foster father of us all, we love you! You so faithfully stayed by the side of Mary when she gave Jesus to the world.  Help us now in our turn stay faithfully by her side as she gives Him to us anew…  She told us in this message: “Dear children!  Today I call you to pray and fast for my intentions, because Satan wants to destroy my plan. Here I began with this parish and invited the entire world. Many have responded, but there is an enormous number of those who do not want to hear or accept my call. Therefore, you who have said ‘yes’, be strong and resolute.  Thank you for having responded to my call.” (August 25, 2011) Dear St. Joseph, you were always strong and resolute – in Bethlehem, in Egypt, and in Nazareth.  You never wavered from the side of Mary.  Help us to be strong and resolute and to never waver from her side.  “My children, be my apostles who have not lived in vain. Do not forget that you will come before the Heavenly Father and tell Him about yourself. Be ready!”  (April 2, 2013) Dear St. Joseph, help us to be faithful to the call of Our Lady and to witness to her presence in these days.  St. Joseph, pray for us!! PS. March 2, 2021 Reflection – Fasting…

Fasting… March 2, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! God has permitted me to be with you also today, to call you to prayer and fasting…” (February 25, 2021 Message) We are in the second week of Lent. It is not too late to start a plan of prayer and fasting for these days of grace. I want to share with you some wonderful words of encouragement about fasting. They come from Fr. Daniel Maria Klimek, T.O.R. Fr. Daniel is doing a weekly program on Mary TV called “Living the Message”. I highly recommend his programs!!! And on his latest show, “Living the Messages – 011 – How to Fast”, Fr. Daniel gives some excellent advice on fasting. I will transcribe a section of his talk for you here but you will want to watch the whole video on Mary TV: I got a really good question from a viewer. The question was, “What are the different ways of fasting?” It is such a good question, not only because there are different ways, but because when we combine them, we enter a more wholistic spirituality. There are various benefits that fasting can have. There are spiritual benefits, but I also believe that fasting, if we look at it in diverse ways can even help us socially to become better communicators, to become better listeners, to become better friends. There are certain fasts that are mental or verbal fasts that not only help us in the battle of sin but also in the area of human development and communication. So let me give you an example. Let’s say you are someone who really struggles with pride. Maybe pride is an issue. One fast you could consider is a verbal fast. It is to go a whole week, and then extend it to the next week, step by step…without speaking about yourself. That could be difficult for some people. Maybe you are one of these people who loves to be the center of attention. The person who holds court at the table, the person who is the story teller. And yes, this could be really asking for a lot. But you know what will happen, not only will there be growth in terms of interior humility, but also there will be such social benefits. Because you will be forced to discover more about the people around you. You will be forced to have deeper conversations. You will be encouraged to actually ask deeper questions about who they are, what are their experiences. And of course there are other ways of fasting. In addition to this verbal fasting where you decide not to talk about yourself as much, there is also an intentional decision not to gossip, to be very careful about your speech in general, and also the mental, the interior. Let’s say you are someone who struggles with negative thinking. Maybe negative thoughts come into your mind often. Maybe it is negative thoughts about various people. Here is a strategy. When a negative thought enters about a person that you usually dwell on, that you usually entertain, turn it into a prayer! That’s right, turn it into a form of spiritual intercession. Start to pray instantaneously for that person who has entered your mind. Why is that powerful? Because you have taken something that could be a potential vice, this inner judgmentalism, and you have transformed it into something sacred. A prayer for the individual. An act of intercession. So there is an interior cleansing of your mind that is happening, and there is also grace that enters the world for that soul who needs it. So you notice how this interior fasting can become a spiritual discipline. And help a person to become an intercessor in their lives. Fr. Daniel Maria Klimek, T.O.R – Living the Message! https://marytv.tv/living-the-message-2/?smid=iRxxfcsY1Tk&slid=OrRUoFrsi1j Fr. Daniel went on to talk about bodily fasting. The whole talk is very helpful. You can view it on our website at the link above. Let’s not waste a moment of this time of grace!! Let’s ramp up our prayer and fasting! St. Joseph, help us to pray and fast as you did: Prayer to St. Joseph (adapted from St. Bernardine of Siena) Oh my beloved St. Joseph, adopt me as thy child. Take charge of my salvation; watch over me day and night; preserve me from the occasions of sin; obtain for me purity of body. Through thy intercession with Jesus, grant me a spirit of sacrifice, humility, self-denial, burning love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and a sweet and tender love for Mary, my mother. March 1, 2021 Reflection – God has permitted me to be with you…

God has permitted me to be with you… March 1, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! God has permitted me to be with you also today, to call you to prayer and fasting. Live this time of grace and be witnesses of hope, because I repeat to you, little children, that with prayer and fasting also wars can be suppressed. Little children, believe and live this time of grace in faith and with faith; and my Immaculate Heart does not leave any of you in peacelessness if you have recourse to me. I intercede for you before the Most High and I pray for peace in your hearts and for hope for the future. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (February 25, 2021) I feel like it is important to look at this message as a whole before taking it line by line.  When I read it all at once, I have the most profound sense of peace.  It is as if Our Lady is showing us this moment in time in picture form as God sees it.  And I feel like our way of seeing this time is only seeing the “negative” of that picture.  We see everything in black and white, with shadows all through it.  But if we could see the true picture of our world right now, we would see brilliant colors with breathtaking beauty and joy. For instance, Our Lady tells us the God has permitted her to be with us also today.  Seen in God’s positive light, Our Lady’s presence is His provision for yet another day, another month.  Could we ask for anything more? After Holy Mass yesterday in which we heard the Transfiguration account, I felt led to pray to Moses, to beg him to come to our aid in these days, because we need help!  But as soon as I prayed this, I heard these words in my heart, “You do not need me, for indeed your have someone of far greater holiness and power with you in these days.  She is all you need.”  My heart was flooded with faith and hope.  For of course this is true!  Our Lady is far more powerful than even Moses! And she has told us “God has permitted me to be with you also today!”  What is there to fear? It is the same when she speaks of prayer and fasting, of suppressing wars, of living this time of grace in faith and with faith, of Her Immaculate Heart never leaving us in peacelessness, and on and on! This message is manna for this month.  If we read and pray it each day, we may soon see things in vibrant color, in the truth of God’s provision and His love! St. Joseph, please help us to see our time as Our Lady sees it, as Our Father in Heaven sees it, so that we can help her by prayer and fasting, peace and hope! Prayer to St. Joseph (adapted from St. Bernardine of Siena) Oh my beloved St. Joseph, adopt me as thy child. Take charge of my salvation; watch over me day and night; preserve me from the occasions of sin; obtain for me purity of body. February 26, 2021 Reflection – If you have recourse to me!

If you have recourse to me! February 26, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Yesterday we received a beautiful message from Our Lady!  I will send it out in full today as well, because I think it is very important.  Our Lady in the message calls us to prayer and fasting.  But it is not out of desperation!  She wants us to pray and fast in order to be filled with faith, and peace and hope in the future!  This is so important for us now in these days.  We must listen to her Heart!!  It is a Heart full of truth for us. So as we pray about this message, let’s allow Our Lady to embrace us, so close that we can hear her heart beat!  It is a heart full of love for us, and we need to hear that heart beat of love constantly so that we can grow in peace and hope and love! Here again is the message: “Dear children! February 24, 2021 Reflection – Yearn for Heaven!

Yearn for Heaven! February 24, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Tomorrow we anticipate a new message from Our Lady!  As we wait in prayer, let’s cherish the message we received in January: “Dear children! I am calling you at this time to prayer, fasting and renunciation, that you may be stronger in faith. This is a time of awakening and of giving birth. As nature which gives itself, you also, little children, ponder how much you have received. Be joyful bearers of peace and love that it may be good for you on earth. Yearn for Heaven; and in Heaven there is no sorrow or hatred. That is why, little children, decide anew for conversion and let holiness begin to reign in your life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (January 25, 2021) “Yearn for Heaven; and in Heaven there is no sorrow or hatred.” If we all could live this one call from Our Lady for the entirety of Lent, we would arrive at Holy Week with strong hearts!  Instead of yearning for earthly goods, we would be yearning for the extreme good of life in Heaven.  We would not be fooled into mourning the things of earth.  We would know where our true life is hidden.  And we would be strong. St. Joseph!  Please teach us to yearn for Heaven, to place all our hopes on eternal life with our God, and to let go of earthly attachments.  May we live with Heaven as our home. Prayer to St. Joseph (adapted from St. Bernardine of Siena) Oh my beloved St. Joseph, adopt me as thy child. Take charge of my salvation; watch over me day and night; preserve me from the occasions of sin; obtain for me purity of body. Through thy intercession with Jesus, grant me a spirit of sacrifice, humility, self-denial, burning love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and a sweet and tender love for Mary, my mother. February 23, 2021 Reflection – Trust in God who is your Father in Heaven…

Trust in God who is your Father in Heaven… February 23, 2021 St. Polycarp Dear Family of Mary! The Gospel for today: Jesus said to his disciples: “In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him. “This is how you are to pray: “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. “If you forgive men their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.”  (Mt 6:7-15) In so few words, and with such a practical focus, Jesus shows us how to come close to His Father in Heaven.  And we so long to be there, in close union with Our Father!  This Lent can be a time to snuggle even closer to the Heart of our Father, through the guidance of Jesus, and Him Mother, Mary.  She also teaches us how to draw close to the Heavenly Father in this message: “Dear children! In this peaceless time, I am calling you to have more trust in God who is your Father in Heaven and who has sent me to lead you to Him. You, open your hearts to the gifts which He desires to give you and, in the silence of your heart, adore my Son Jesus who has given His life so that you may live in eternity – where He desires to lead you. May your hope be the joy of a meeting with the Most High in everyday life. Therefore, I am calling you: do not neglect prayer because prayer works miracles. Thank you for having responded to my call.”  May 25, 2018 Mother Mary tells us that in it in trust that we will find Our Father in Heaven.  The more we trust Him, the more He will reveal Himself to us!  And Jesus, the same.  As we adore Him, in the Blessed Sacrament, our trust grows, and His presence grows in our hearts.  We must long for a joyful meeting with the Most Hight, and pray, pray, pray…because prayer works miracles!! Such an invitation!  How can we say no??? St. Joseph, please help us to say yes to Our Lady’s call to have more trust in God our Father, and to pray as much as we can to Him so that miracles will happen! February 22, 2021 Update – Pray that everything I have begun be fully realized!

Let us pray that everything I have begun be fully realized! February 21. 2021 First Sunday of Lent Dear Mary TV Shipmates, Family of Our Lady of Medjugorje: The first reading at Mass today: God said to Noah and to his sons with him: “See, I am now establishing my covenant with you and your descendants after you … there shall not be another flood to devastate the earth.” God added: “This is the sign that I am giving for all ages to come, of the covenant between me and you and every living creature with you: I set my rainbow in the clouds to serve as a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” (Gen 9: 8 – 13) The rainbow will be the sign of God’s new covenant. I’m reminded: Thirty-four years ago Cathy and I, in preparation for going on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje, were going to Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament every morning.  I remember one morning as we were leaving the Adoration chapel at Corpus Christi Cathy told me that Jesus had just said to her: “Take raincoats with you when you go to Medjugorje.” I had been keeping abreast of Medjugorje’s weather and knew they had been experiencing severe drought. There had been no rain for a long time and none was forecast. There was simply no way I was going to let room be taken up in my suitcase by a raincoat. And this was before suitcases has wheels. I was going to have carry them. Cathy snuck the raincoats in. And sure enough it poured! And then on October 13, 1987, the 70th Anniversary of the apocalyptic sign given in Fatma – the sun falling to the earth causing people to think the world was coming to an end – as we were walking up the road to the house where we were staying on Cross Mountain ….glancing down to the Church, there right over St James Church was the most beautiful rainbow – curving right over the two steeples of the church – they seemed to be touching! That rainbow was the most beautiful we have ever seen. It was breathtaking! Our Mother tells us from Medjugorje, “This time is my time!” (1/25/97) She seems to be increasing in joy with each day that she’s coming. She sees the future and she’s filled with joy.  “I am with you and I will remain with you!” (9/2/11) She is staying. The devil is being cast out. He has no future. He’s the one panicked. Just before Communism fell apart in Russia – without a shot being fired – Our Lady had called to us from Medjugorje: “Dear Children! Today also I invite you to prayer, now as never before when my plan has begun to be realized. Satan is strong and wants to sweep away my plans of peace and joy and make you think that my Son is not strong in His decisions. Therefore, I call all of you, dear children, to pray and fast still more firmly. I invite you to self-renunciation for nine days so that, with your help, everything that I desire to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima, may be fulfilled. I call you, dear children, to now grasp the importance of my coming and the seriousness of the situation. I want to save all souls and present them to God. Therefore, let us pray that everything I have begun be fully realized. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (8/25/91) St. Joseph, help us stay close by the side of Our Lady, as you did the first time that she gave her Son to the world…. that now in our turn, we will help her! Gold bless you! Denis Nolan
