Easter Saturday – Divine Mercy Novena, Day 9
April 25, 2025
Saturday of Easter Week
Dear Family of Mary!
This is the last day of the novena! Day Nine!! This intention is very serious:
Ninth Day:
Today bring to Me SOULS WHO HAVE BECOME LUKEWARM,* and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My Heart most painfully. My soul suffered the most dreadful loathing in the Garden of Olives because of lukewarm souls. They were the reason I cried out: ‘Father, take this cup away from Me, if it be Your will.’ For them, the last hope of salvation is to run to My mercy.
Most compassionate Jesus, You are Compassion Itself. I bring lukewarm souls into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart. In this fire of Your pure love, let these tepid souls, who, like corpses, filled You with such deep loathing, be once again set aflame. O Most Compassionate Jesus, exercise the omnipotence of Your mercy and draw them into the very ardor of Your love, and bestow upon them the gift of holy love, for nothing is beyond Your power.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon lukewarm souls who are nonetheless enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Father of Mercy, I beg You by the bitter Passion of Your Son and by His three-hour agony on the Cross: Let them, too, glorify the abyss of Your mercy. Amen.
Our Lady has spoken to us about lukewarmness as well:
November 20, 1986 “Dear children! Today also I am calling you to live and follow with a special love all the messages which I am giving you. Dear children, God does not want you lukewarm and undecided, but that you totally surrender to Him. You know that I love you and that out of love I long for you. Therefore, dear children, you also decide for love so that you will long for and daily experience God’s love. Dear children, decide for love so that love prevails in all of you, but not human love, rather God’s love. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
Mother Mary wants us to live wholeheartedly for the Lord. Tepidity, selfishness or worldliness will lead us away from Jesus. It will stunt our spiritual growth and lead us into sin. It is the enemy’s clever temptation, to lead us into ourselves and make us unable to love or seek the Lord!
Let us pray for all souls to be aflame with love for God and leave our self-absorption behind!!
Today also, Pope Francis is buried. Let us pray for him:
Requiem Aeternam (“Eternal Rest”)
V. Eternal rest grant unto Francis, O Lord.
R. And let the perpetual light shine upon him.
And may his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Finally:
Let us pray our prayer in anticipation of the Cannonization of Carlo Acutis, even though it has been postponed!!
Dear Mary our Mother and Queen of Peace, you tell us: “Invoke the help of all the Saints for them to be an example and a help to you.” With joy we invoke the help of Carlo Acutis, soon to be declared the Patron Saint of the INTERNET. May we now receive grace to follow his example, especially the young – who are looking at their phones. Through his intercession may the devil be routed from the INTERNET and the beauty of Our Lady, through the INTERNET, cast out Satan as prince of the world!
Thank you for praying with us! May this Easter Week be filled with light and joy for all of us! Tomorrow is Divine Mercy Sunday! Many graces are available to us all tomorrow!! Pray, pray, pray!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
