Offer me your prayers, sufferings and tears…

Dear Family of Mary!

March 25, 2025 Message from Our Lady of Medjugorje:
“Dear children, in this time of grace when you are called to conversion, I am encouraging you, little children: offer me your prayers, sufferings and tears for conversion of hearts that are far from the Heart of my Son Jesus. Pray with me, because, little children, without God you do not have a future or eternal life. I love you, but I cannot help you without you; therefore, say ‘yes’ to God. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (With Ecclesiastical approval)

On Tuesday, Our Lady asked us to do something very surprising! Here is her request:

“Dear children, in this time of grace when you are called to conversion, I am encouraging you, little children: offer me your prayers, sufferings and tears for conversion of hearts that are far from the Heart of my Son Jesus…”

Mother Mary told us that we are in a time of grace in which we are called to conversion. Lent is the time of conversion, the call to return to God with all our hearts, our minds, and our souls! You would think this is a time for introversion, of working on our own salvation. A time to repent. And it is!

But in this sentence, she turned that idea on its head! She told us: “I am encouraging you, little children: offer me your prayers, sufferings and tears for conversion of hearts that are far from the Heart of my Son Jesus.”

Instead of looking at ourselves, seeking our own conversion, she wants us to offer our prayers and sufferings and tears for the conversion of hearts that are far from the Heart of her Son Jesus!! Our Lady is calling us to forget about ourselves, and pray for those who are far away from Jesus, those who do not know Him or love Him! This is the Lenten sacrifice she asks us to make, to pray for those who are far from Jesus!

Actually, I think she is on to something. Spending our Lent praying for all the souls who are far from God is truly a sacrifice. We can put ourselves second, and instead pray for those who really need our prayer for their salvation! Our sacrifices this Lent for the sake of the conversion of unbelievers, or those who have fallen away from God, may help many souls return to the Lord, and also help us to grow in humility and love for others.

This is God’s way! It is beautiful! Let’s offer our prayers, sufferings and tears for the conversion of our brothers and sisters who are far from the Heart of Jesus. A Lent filled with holy intercession!!
