Be joyfully extended hands towards those who do not believe…

Sts. Perpetua and Felicity
Dear Family of Mary!
Today we celebrate two women who were early Christina martyrs, St. Perpetua and St. Felicity. Their witness was incredible. Perpetua was a young mother with a tiny infant. She refused to abandon her Christian faith. Felicity was also a young woman, who was eight months pregnant. She too would not renounce her faith. They remained faithful, waiting for the birth of Felicity’s little child, and were then led into the arena to be killed by wild animals and soldier’s swords. Their witness impressed even their captors. And we too are in awe of their courage and love of God.
Our Lady would say that these two young women were her extended hands. They gave up everything for love of her Son, Jesus! And their witness helped many to convert and draw closer to God. As Our Lady said to us: “Be my extended hands for every creature, so that it may draw closer to the God of love.” (06/25/09) Certainly St. Felicity and St. Perpetua are her extended hands to this day!
Listen to this call from our Mother, Mary:
November 25, 1997
“Dear children!
Today I invite you to comprehend
your Christian vocation.
Little children,
I led and am leading you
through this time of grace,
that you may become conscious
of your Christian vocation.
Holy martyrs died witnessing:
I am a Christian and love God over everything.
Little children,
today also I invite you to rejoice
and be joyful Christians,
responsible and conscious
that God called you in a special way
to be joyfully extended hands
toward those who do not believe,
and that through the example of your life,
they may receive faith and love for God.
Therefore, pray, pray, pray
that your heart may open
and be sensitive for the Word of God.
Thank you for having responded to my call.
It is a beautiful reality that God calls us to be “joyfully extended hands toward those who do not believe and that through the example of your life, they may receive faith and love for God!”
May it be so!!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
