I am going to prepare a place for you…

Dear Family of Mary!
Jesus speaks such gentle and fatherly words to the disciples in this passage from the Gospel of John. I feel like reading it over and over today and letting His love and assurance wash over me. Listen to how Jesus comforts the disciples, especially Thomas. It seems that Thomas was always a bit timid and in need of Jesus’ personal care. Maybe we are a bit timid too. We need Jesus’ personal care too!!
John 14:1-6
Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be. Where I am going you know the way.” Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Such comforting words! Jesus speaks them to us today as well. Let’s allow His words to sink deeply into our hearts.
Our Lady has spoken in a similar way to us in Medjugorje. Here is one message:
May 25, 2018 “Dear children! In this peaceless time, I am calling you to have more trust in God who is your Father in Heaven and who has sent me to lead you to Him. You, open your hearts to the gifts which He desires to give you and, in the silence of your heart, Adore my Son Jesus who has given His life so that you may live in eternity – where He desires to lead you. May your hope be the joy of a meeting with the Most High in everyday life. Therefore, I am calling you: do not neglect prayer because prayer works miracles. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
We have been given the sweet comfort of our Mother, Mary. She too has come to lead us to the Father in Heaven, through her Son, Jesus. She is with us to accompany us into Heaven! We are not alone. All is well with us!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
