My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord…
November 6, 2026 Reflection
Dear Family of Mary!
October 25, 2026 Message from Our Lady of Medjugorje
“Dear children! A fire of hatred and wars is spreading in the hearts of people who do not want peace but their own weak interests. That is why, little children, you be prayer and my extended hands of love and peace for all those who are far from my motherly heart. Pray more strongly and more for the peace that God desires to give you but you do not want it. I am with you and I am praying that peace may prevail and reign in every heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (With Ecclesiastical approval)
As we move into the weekend, let’s pray the prayer that Our Lady prayed when she visited her cousin, Elizabeth. All the wonder and joy that Our Lady felt when the Angel Gabriel came to her, announcing God’s plan of redemption through the coming of His Son as her child, is proclaimed in this canticle the Mary sang to Elizbeth! We need to be filled with that same joy. We are not orphans. We are God’s beloved children because Mary conceived Jesus, who is our Brother. We must live in that deep joy. We are loved by our God through Jesus His Son, who is Mary’s Son.
Here are those blessed words that Our Lady spoke in response to Elizabeth’s greeting:
Luke 1: 46-55:
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord
,My Spirit rejoices in God my Saviour
For He has looked with favour on His lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
The Almighty has done great things for me,
And holy is His Name.
He has mercy on those who fear Him
In every generation.
He has shown the strength of His arm,
He has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
And has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
And the rich He has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of His servant Israel
For He has remembered His promise of mercy,
The promise He made to our fathers,
To Abraham and his children for ever.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning. is now, and will be forever.
Amen.
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
