Rejoice in the Lord who has created you!
(Youth Festival 2020)

Dear Family of Mary!
Today there are many things of consequence happening. But I feel that what Our Lady needs from us is not to be worried, upset, depressed, frightened, or despondent. She isn’t asking us to carry the world on our shoulders. Enough for us are the small crosses we bear out of love. Our Lady is with us, and her presence is our security! We should fear nothing.
Listen to these words that she gave to us ten years ago:
“Dear children! May this time be a time of personal prayer for you, so that the seed of faith may grow in your hearts; and may it grow into a joyful witness to others. I am with you and I desire to inspire you all: grow and rejoice in the Lord who has created you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (January 25, 2010)
I believe Our Lady still wants us to live this message today. Personal prayer, seeds of faith, a joyful witness, the inspiration of Our Lady, and a rejoicing heart! She sounds very much like St. Paul who wrote to the Philippians:
Rejoice in the Lord always;
again I will say, Rejoice.
Let all men know your forbearance.
The Lord is at hand.
Have no anxiety about anything,
but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which passes all understanding,
will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren,
whatever is true,
whatever is honorable,
whatever is just,
whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely,
whatever is gracious,
if there is any excellence,
if there is anything worthy of praise,
think about these things.
What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do;
and the God of peace will be with you. (Phil 4: 4-9)
I believe that if we live this way, we will help Our Lady in her plans for us and for the world, and we will then be helping Jesus as well. We will be the lights He needs to shine in this darkened world.
Keep these things in your hearts and pray with joyful faith!!
In Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!
