The Holy Innocents
Dear Family of Mary!
“Dear children! With great joy, today I am carrying my Son Jesus to you, for Him to give you His peace. Open your hearts, little children, and be joyful that you can receive it. Heaven is with you and is fighting for peace in your hearts, in the families and in the world; and you, little children, help with your prayers for it to be so. I bless you with my Son Jesus and call you not to lose hope; and for your gaze and heart to always be directed towards Heaven and eternity. In this way, you will be open to God and to His plans. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (December 24, 2016)
This message is full of hope! Our Lady speaks with strength and joy. She is on a mission to reveal to us the plans of heaven. We are blindly unaware of what God is doing in our day. And so her words are meant to arouse us and help us to understand.
“With great joy, today I am carrying my Son Jesus to you, for Him to give you His peace.”
There is no peace without Jesus. Peace cannot be realized through any human initiative that is separate from Jesus. But with Jesus, peace exists. Jesus is peace. Jesus is peace! How many pilgrims in Medjugorje have shared that they had only anxiety, bitterness, restlessness, disappointment in their lives when they first came to Medjugorje. But during their pilgrimage they were overwhelmed with the love of Jesus and Mary, and they were reconciled with Jesus in Confession and found peace? Jesus is peace.
Peace has nothing to do with external events and everything to do with reconciliation with God. When our hearts are reunited with God, we have peace. We live with a purpose. We have eyes to see our hope. We have eyes set on heaven and eternity.
“Open your hearts, little children, and be joyful that you can receive it.”
No matter where we are today, no matter what our circumstances are, we can open our hearts. We can pray. We can confess. We can be reconciled with God. We can receive Jesus. The Church is wherever we are, and the confessional is not far away. Jesus waits for us there, to come into our hearts through the hands of the priest. He waits for us there, to forgive us, to heal us, to restore us to His love, and to give us the peace that only comes from Him.

What a jolt of hope these words bring us. Heaven is fighting for us!!! Heaven is on our side, actively standing against our enemy, guarding us and protecting us from his lies and his assaults. Heaven is on the offense, driving the enemy away from us so that we can receive Jesus and His peace.
I believe on this incredibly sorrowful feast day, the Holy Innocents, we should realize that the children/martyrs are part of that heavenly army that is fighting for us today. They are very powerful intercessors, because of their purity and their sacrifice. And I believe that today their number has grown to millions upon millions, due to abortion. And each of those little martyrs is now fighting to defeat the enemy of man. They are fighting for us that we will have peace in our hearts.
“I bless you with my Son Jesus and call you not to lose hope; and for your gaze and heart to always be directed towards Heaven and eternity.”
Let us not lose hope. Now is not the time to cower. With such an army fighting with us, and with our gaze always upon heaven, we will be victorious.
“In this way, you will be open to God and to His plans.”
With the peace of Jesus in our hearts, our eyes on heaven, and the heavenly host fighting with us, we will help Our Lady to realize God’s plans! Plans for our welfare and not for woe. Plans for salvation.
