I will offer one message each day, and a prayer. May we draw close to Our Lady during this time. Her presence is our hope and joy in these days! September 25, 2020 “Dear children! I am with you for so long because God is great in His love and in my presence. I am calling you, little children: return to God and to prayer. May the measure of your [way of] living be love and do not forget, little children, that prayer and fasting work miracles in you and around you. May everything you do be for the glory of God, and then Heaven will fill your heart with joy and you will feel that God loves you and is sending me to save you and the earth on which you live. Thank you for having responded to my call.” We do believe that God is sending you to save us and the earth on which we live. We want to help you in every way we can. May we live a total consecration to you, dearest Mother! How to Give Oneself to Mary, Mother of Goodness, of Love and of Mercy (Given by Our Lady to Jelena Vasilj, 4/19/1984) Oh my Mother! Mother of goodness, love and mercy! I love you immensely, and I offer myself to you. Through your goodness, your love, And your mercy, save me! I wish to be yours.   How to celebrate the 40th Anniversary! June 14, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! The message below, given on the anniversary in 2007, expresses the central meaning of Our Lady’s coming to Medjugorje! We could use it as a guide for the next few days before the 40th Anniversary! June 25, 2007 “Dear children! Also today, with great joy in my heart, I call you to conversion. Little children, do not forget that you are all important in this great plan, which God leads through Medjugorje. God desires to convert the entire world and to call it to salvation and to the way towards Himself, who is the beginning and the end of every being. In a special way, little children, from the depth of my heart, I call you all to open yourselves to this great grace that God gives you through my presence here. I desire to thank each of you for the sacrifices and prayers. I am with you and I bless you all. Thank you for having responded to my call.” God is leading a great plan through Medjugorje. He desires to convert the entire world and call it to salvation and to the way towards Himself. He, who is the beginning and the end of every being!! And He is doing it through Our Lady! Her presence! The plan He has given to her. What more can we do but rejoice and say yes to Our Mother. To pray as she has taught us. To sacrifice and do works of mercy under her guidance. To witness her presence!! This is our part in her plan. As we draw close to the Anniversary, I want to share with you the beautiful program of prayer that has been planned in Medjugorje for these days. Here is the announcement from the Parish: The Parish of Medjugorje is preparing for the 40th Anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions. Both the parish and the parishioners have been intensively preparing for this special event for more than one year. A group of them started to meet and pray last year before the Anniversary and they decided to climb the Apparition Hill for 365 days and pray the Rosary to prepare for this celebration. The neighbouring parish of Citluk started their Novena of nine Sundays prior to the Anniversary and their parishioners walk from their parish church to the Apparition Hill every Sunday afternoon. The employees of parish office and Information Centre Mir Medjugorje also meet for prayer on Friday mornings to prepare for this Anniversary. The parish of Medjugorje will also prepare with the Novena that will consist of the evening prayer programme and climbing of Apparition Hill, while the main celebrants in those nine days will be former Medjugorje parish priests and assistant parish priests who were engaged in pastoral care of this parish in the last four decades. On the Eve of the Apparitions of Our Lady, June 24, the Feast of St. John the Baptist, the traditional Peace Walk will take place from Humac to Medjugorje. This Peace Walk was initiated in 1992, in the midst of the Homeland War, when one group of foreign pilgrims, led by devoted Medjugorje pilgrim Hubert Liebherr, walked from Humac and prayed for peace in both Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina that were affected by the war. What is new and special about this year’s celebration of the Anniversary is the procession that will take place from the Apparition Hill – place of Our Lady’s first apparition – to the church of St. James in Medjugorje. The procession will start from the Apparition Hill at 4.30 pm, so all the participants would be able to come to the church ground before the evening prayer programme. Then, after the Rosary, the procession with the statue of Our Lady would start at 7 pm and this would be the beginning of the solemn Holy Mass on that day. Give time to God… June 11, 2021 Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!Dear Family of Mary! Today we will consider just one message given on the anniversary in 1995. I am finding it difficult to manage considering 3 or 4 messages at a time!! There are important gifts in each message, and when there are several messages, one cannot receive all the gifts!! So today we will prayerfully consider this message: June 25, 1997 “Dear children! Today I am with you in a special way and I bring you my motherly blessing of peace. I pray for you and I intercede for you before God, so that you may comprehend that each of you is a carrier of peace. You cannot have peace if your heart is not at peace with God. That is why, little children, pray, pray, pray, because prayer is the foundation of your peace. Open your heart and give time to God so that He will be your friend. When true friendship with God is realized, no storm can destroy it. Thank you for having responded to my call.” By 1997, the Balkan states were slowly recovering from the terrible war that had engulfed them. There was tension everywhere. And so this message spoke directly to the needs of the people. “Dear children! Today I am with you in a special way and I bring you my motherly blessing of peace.” Our Lady was with the people of Medjugorje in a special way. She was still appearing every day to 4 of the visionaries, Jakov, Vicka, Ivan and Marija. This special presence of Our Lady changed everything for the village. There were holy spots all over the village! Apparition Hill, Cross Mountain, the Church of St. James, the old rectory, many places in the fields, the Blue Cross, and now the homes of the visionaries, were all apparition sites! Imagine that!! Our Lady had come physically to them all!! Her miraculous presence had made the whole village special. And she really did bring her motherly blessing of peace!! You could feel it every where. That peace is the most prominent experience for everyone who visits Medjugorje. Even today. Our Lady created heavenly peace in Medjugorje by being present there. “I pray for you and I intercede for you before God, so that you may comprehend that each of you is a carrier of peace. “ But that peace was not meant just for Medjugorje. Our Lady said that she prays and intercedes before God that each one of us who come to Medjugorje would become a carrier of peace! She desired and still desires that each one of us take that peace we receive in Medjugorje home with us! Our Lady wanted her peace to spread. But for us to do that we would need to become friends of God! “You cannot have peace if your heart is not at peace with God. That is why, little children, pray, pray, pray, because prayer is the foundation of your peace. Open your heart and give time to God so that He will be your friend. When true friendship with God is realized, no storm can destroy it.” Our Lady wanted to teach us how to be carriers of peace. Her advice was and is perfect: First, we have to recognize that peace can only come from God, not from any other source. Only God. No amount of counseling, exercise, diet, money, or power can give us peace. The world cannot give peace. Only God. Second, to receive the peace of God, we need to pray, pray, pray. Only prayer keeps us in contact with God. Nothing else. Third, in prayer we need to open our hearts to God until He becomes our friend. Well, that does not happen in a moment. Friendships take much time to build. Trust, honesty, patience and lots of love are required. So to be carriers of peace would involve a huge commitment. But that commitment is worth it. No storm can destroy such a friendship with God. Such a friendship will make us carriers of peace to all those we meet. And that is the only way for peace to spread in this very unpeaceful world. So, you see, Our Lady came with a very precise plan, and that plan must be lived out by each one of us. Only our yes is missing! We must be carriers of peace! This is also the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus! Here is a wonderful little prayer to the Sacred Heart that will help us to get close to Him and become His friend as Our Lady asked us!! Let us pray: Prayer to the Sacred Heart O most holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you and with a lively sorrow for my sins, I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure, and wholly obedient to your will. Grant, good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you. Protect me in the midst of danger; comfort me in my afflictions; give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, your blessings on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death.   June 10, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! We continue our journey in time with the June 25th messages of Our Lady! The three we have today are very powerful. In the 10th Anniversary message Our Lady asked us to witness her presence to all those around us. It is true that if we don’t share her presence with others, they will not know about it. She needs us: June 25, 1991 “Dear children! Today on this great day which you have given to me, I desire to bless all of you and to say: these days while I am with you are days of grace. I desire to teach you and help you to walk the way of holiness. There are many people who do not desire to understand my messages and to accept with seriousness what I am saying. But you I therefore call and ask that by your lives and by your daily living you witness my presence. If you pray, God will help you to discover the true reason for my coming. Therefore, little children, pray and read the Sacred Scriptures so that through my coming you discover the message in Sacred Scripture for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” The next year Our Lady was a little sad. Why? Many who had begun to follow her had left the path. She loves each one of us, and so this turning away from her caused her sorrow. I imagine she was also a little sad because of the war that was beginning in the Balkans. She stayed with the people and was their strength, showing them the way to peace: June 25, 1992 “Dear children! Today I am happy, even if in my heart there is still a little sadness for all those who have started on this path and then have left it. My presence here is to take you on a new path, the path to salvation. This is why I call you, day after day to conversion. But if you do not pray, you cannot say that you are on the way to being converted. I pray for you and I intercede to God for peace; first peace in your hearts and also peace around you, so that God may be your peace. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In 1993 Our Lady told us that “these are special times…” Indeed they were special. There was a war raging in the Balkans. And so she told us that she wanted to protect us: June 25, 1993 “Dear children! Today I also rejoice at your presence here. I bless you with my motherly blessing and intercede for each one of you before God. I call you anew to live my messages and to put them into life and practice. I am with you and bless all of you day by day. Dear children, these are special times and, therefore, I am with you to love and protect you; to protect your hearts from satan and to bring you all closer to the heart of my Son, Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.” The next year Our Lady was rejoicing again, because many pilgrims were coming back. She wanted them to be living her messages even more, now that peace was returning: June 25, 1994 “Dear children! Today I rejoice in my heart in seeing you all present here. I bless you and I call you all to decide to live my messages which I give you here. I desire, little children, to guide you all to Jesus because He is your salvation. Therefore, little children, the more you pray the more you will be mine and of my Son, Jesus. I bless you all with my motherly blessing and I thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Mother brought the parish and the pilgrims through a very tough time in the early 90’s. The war had really been a trial for the local people. Yet, somehow, Our Lady kept them safe, and gave them peace during those years. And many pilgrims became missionaries, bringing aid for the area. It was a time of great love, lived with faith. And we can look back and learn from the brave people that lived Our Lady’s messages, even in war. I am calling you to live the messages… June 9, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! We continue our journey in time with the June 25th messages of Our Lady! The three we have today are very powerful. The June 25, 1988 message is a treatise on Love worthy of St. John the apostle!! We will do well to pray with this message every day! Our Lady told us: June 25, 1988 “Dear children! I am calling you to that love which is loyal and pleasing to God. Little children, love bears everything bitter and difficult for the sake of Jesus who is love. Therefore, dear children, pray that God come to your aid, not however according to your desire, but according to His love. Surrender yourself to God so that He may hear you, console you and forgive everything inside you which is a hindrance on the way of love. In this way God can move your life, and you will grow in love. Dear children, glorify God with a hymn of love so that God’s love may be able to grow in you day by day to its fullness. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In 1989 Our Lady called us to “live the messages”. It is such a perfect way to ask us to respond to her words to us. “Live the messages!” There is no room for doubt here. Our life choices must reflect Our Lady’s words, our dispositions must be her dispositions, our desires must be her desires. That is living the messages. Our lives will begin to look like her life! June 25, 1989 “Dear children! Today I am calling you to live the messages I have been giving you during the past eight years. This is the time of grace and I desire the grace of God be great for every single one of you. I am blessing you and I love you with a special love. Thank you for having responded to call.” And finally in 1990 Our Lady gave us her special motherly blessing. What a blessing this is! Our Lady has been made powerful by the Father in Heaven, through her Motherhood of His Son, and by extension her Motherhood of each one of us. The Mother’s blessing will protect us and bring us into the Father’s joy through our conversion: June 25, 1990 “Dear children! Today I desire to thank you for all your sacrifices and for all your prayers. I am blessing you with my special motherly blessing. I invite you all to decide for God, so that from day to day you will discover His will in prayer. I desire, dear children, to call all of you to a full conversion so that joy will be in your hearts. I am happy that you are here today in such great numbers. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Thank you dearest Mother, for gently but firmly guiding us into the love, grace and blessing of God given to us through you, present to us in Medjugorje!   In thanksgiving for 40 years!!! June 8, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! As we approach the 40th Anniversary of Our Lady’s coming to Medjugorje, I thought that we might review the messages we received from Our Lady on June 25 throughout the years. I am excited to review these messages. As I think about how blessed we have been to have Our Lady with us, I grow in amazement that she has been speaking to us through the visionaries regularly. Who would have guessed that Our Lady would stay with us for this long, and continue to speak to us her words of life? We begin with a message given in 1982. This was the 1st anniversary. The children and the villagers had suffered a great deal at the hands of the communists. But they had persevered, staying faithful to Our Lady. Mother Mary thanked them for their faithfulness: Thursday, June 24 or Friday, June 25, 1982 Before the evening Mass, during the apparition, the Virgin told the priests, through the intermediary of the visionaries: “Thank the people in my name for the prayers, the sacrifices and the penance. Have them persevere in prayer, fasting and conversion, and have them wait with patience the realization of my promise. Everything is unfolding according to God’s plan.” Our Lady was grateful for the prayers, sacrifices and penances that the people of the area had given to her. The Catholics of Medjugorje and the surrounding villages had lived for hundreds of years in adverse circumstances, being persecuted for their faith. They never gave up. And they would not give up now. Our Lady could count on them! Let’s pray that we can remain steadfast as well, faithful to her call. In 1985 Our Lady gave us this powerful message: June 25, 1985 (Tuesday) “I invite you to call on everyone to pray the Rosary. With the rosary you shall overcome all the adversities which satan is trying to inflict on the Catholic Church. All you priests, pray the Rosary! Dedicate your time to the Rosary!” In this message Our Lady gave her children the weapon for battle, the Rosary! She made it clear that their real enemy is Satan, and that the Rosary will defeat him. All of us, Priests and lay people need to pray the Rosary well and often throughout the day. We are Rosary warriors now!! In 1987 Our Lady called us to live her way and to make her intentions our own: June 25, 1987 “Dear children! Today I thank you and I want to invite you all to God’s peace. I want each one of you to experience in your heart that peace which God gives. I want to bless you all today. I am blessing you with God’s blessing and I beseech you, dear children, to follow and to live my way. I love you, dear children, and so not even counting the number of times, I go on calling you and I thank you for all that you are doing for my intentions. I beg you, help me to present you to God and to save you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady invited the people of Medjugorje and the pilgrims who had begun to gather in large numbers to be part of God’s plan, to live her way and work for her intentions. This was a watershed moment, when Our Lady began her plan for the salvation of souls. A plan that continues to this day. She wants to save us all. May we support her plan with willing and loving hearts! This is the plan from Heaven. I desire that you be prayer and hope to those who have not come to know the God of love. June 7, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! “I desire that you be prayer and hope to those who have not come to know the God of love.” (May 25, 2021) Our Lady is very concerned for her children who still do not know God and His love. She watches with great concern each life, each person on earth. She is The Mother. Jesus gave her to each of us as our mother from the Cross. But so many of us do not know her. So many of us do not know Jesus. So many of us are lost. And so she has asked those of us who know her to “be prayer and hope to those who have not come to know the God of love.” You can feel her love and hope coming through in the way she refers to those of her children who do not know God or His love. She doesn’t blame them or disparage them. She simply says “those who have not come to know the God of love.” Those who have not come to know… Our Lady loves and is concerned for these ones, the ones who have not come to know the love of God. Many, many things can keep us from knowing the God of love. Our Lady doesn’t point fingers or blame. She just longs for her children to come to know the God of love!! We can adopt her way of looking at things as well. It will make our job of “being prayer” much easier. Once we leave the job of judging to the One who will come as a just Judge, and we look at others through The Mother’s love-glasses, we will be able to pray so freely and joyfully for those who do not know Jesus (yet). We will be able to have hope for all of them, because we know how powerful The Mother’s love is!! Here are three messages in which Our Lady asked us to “be prayer”. They will help us to grasp how much Our Lady loves all her children, and how we can help to share that love with those who as yet do not know her or Jesus. Our job is to learn to “be prayer” for them, until they can enter into that loving relationship with God themselves. It is her wish and ours: February 25, 2014“Dear children! You see, hear and feel that in the hearts of many people there is no God. They do not want Him, because they are far from prayer and do not have peace. You, little children, pray – live God’s commandments. You be prayer, you who from the very beginning said ‘yes’ to my call. Witness God and my presence and do not forget, little children: I am with you and I love you. From day to day I present you all to my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.” April 25, 2014“Dear children! Open your hearts to the grace which God is giving you through me, as a flower that opens to the warm rays of the sun. Be prayer and love for all those who are far from God and His love… I am with you and I intercede for all of you before my Son Jesus, and I love you with immeasurable love. Thank you for having responded to my call.” May 25, 2020“Dear children! Pray with me for a new life for all of you. In your hearts, little children, you know what needs to be changed. Return to God and His Commandments, so that the Holy Spirit may change your lives and the face of this earth, which is in need of renewal in the spirit. Little children, be prayer for all those who do not pray; be joy for all those who do not see the way out; be carriers of light in the darkness of this peaceless time. Pray and seek the help and protection of the saints so that you also could yearn for Heaven and Heavenly realities. I am with you and am protecting and blessing all of you with my motherly blessing. And you will be my extended hands in this lost world! June 4, 2021 First Friday Dear Family of Mary! “And you will be my extended hands in this lost world.”(May 25, 2021) As I was thinking and praying about becoming Our Lady’s extended hands, a question began to form in my heart. “When did I experience Our Lady’s extended hands in my life?” Simple as that. Did I ever experience Our Lady’s help through others? And the answer came back with a resounding “yes”!!!! The more I thought about it, the more overwhelmed I was by the enormity of the help I have received through Our Lady’s children. It still chokes me up when I think about it. I can’t even begin a list, there are so many instances when clearly Our Lady was helping Denis and me to get closer to her through her children. Such things as plane tickets to Medjugorje given to us! And the excellent leadership of pilgrimage directors who helped us to experience Medjugorje properly! There were books about Medjugorje showing up in the mail, rosaries brought back from Medjugorje for our family, pictures of Our Lady, Crucifixes, medals, prayer cards all given to us by friends. For many years we had faithful friends in a Rosary group! And then there were the conferences and gatherings with speakers on Medjugorje, all supported by the extended hands of Our Lady through our friends. Mary TV is built by the extended hands of Our Lady, through all of you shipmates. Such a powerful outpouring of grace has come through all of you, by sharing expertise, donating funds, volunteering your time, and praying for us!! Truly we have seen mighty miracles of love, the extended hands of Our Lady!! I am finding it very healing to take time in prayer to give thanks for all the blessings that I have received through Our Lady’s extended hands. Maybe this moment we are in, the 40th anniversary of Our Lady’s coming in Medjugorje, is a good time to look back and give deep thanks for all the blessings we have received from Our Lady through her children. As we ponder these blessings, our faith will deepen and our trust in Our Lady will grow. We will feel God so near to us, and Our Lady wrapping us in her mantle of love. This has truly been a time of grace like no other! Our Lady said these words to us in 2009. They apply for this moment as well: June 25, 2009″Dear children! Rejoice with me, convert in joy and give thanks to God for the gift of my presence among you. Pray that, in your hearts, God may be in the center of your life and with your life witness, little children, so that every creature may feel God’s love. Be my extended hands for every creature, so that it may draw closer to the God of love. I bless you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! June 3, 2021 St. Charles Lwanga and CompanionsDear Family of Mary! “And you will be my extended hands in this lost world.”(May 25, 2021) Our Lady has asked us to be her extended hands several times. She makes it clear that she needs us to help her. Just as Jesus had disciples and apostles, so our Lady needs us to be her people on the ground, carrying her message of love and mercy to all those we meet. She needs us represent her to the souls in need of her presence and love. But what do extended hands of the Gospa do? I don’t think it is as premeditated as it sounds. She just needs us to carry her presence with us into our every day life, and not be shy to say something about her to those we meet. Just yesterday, Denis and I went to a doctor’s appointment. It was for Denis. We came with no expectations, and just interacted with the doctor and her assistant, with pleasant conversation. But when Denis mentioned he would be traveling to Bosnia/Hercegovina soon, and would it be ok, the doctor perked up. She asked him how he knew the pronunciation of that country so well. Well that was all it took. Denis was off and running about Our Lady of Medjugorje, about the Rosary, about conversions, and on and on…(ha ha!) We ended up emptying our pockets of rosaries, to give to the Doctor and her assistant, with promises of more to come. It was such a joyous visit to the doctor. This was a moment when you could just feel Our Lady present with us. I guess we were being her extended hands. But it was such fun!! So don’t be afraid to be Our Lady’s extended hands. She needs you and me, who else will tell the world about Our Lady of Medjugorje!! Here are some of the messages about being her extended hands that you might pray over. She is serious. She needs us. Marcellinus and Peter Dear Family of Mary! “Decide for holiness and joy will begin to reign!..“(May 25, 2021) Once we leave sin and evil, we have room in our lives for holiness and joy! We find ourselves able to receive from God that heavenly life that He so wants to give us. That life comes through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit!! Our Lady wants us to be steeped in the Holy Spirit, filled with the Holy Spirit and lit up with the Holy Spirit! She has told us many time to ask for the Holy Spirit because when we have Him, we have everything! Fr. Slavko wrote a beautiful prayer to the Holy Spirit in his book: Pray with the Heart! Here it is!! May this prayer open our hearts to the Holy Spirit so that we may be filled with joy! Prayer to the Holy Spirit Mary, thank you for having called me to pray every day to the Holy Spirit through whom you conceived Jesus Christ, through whom you, in meditation, understood the Word of God and remained faithful to it to the end. “Dear children! This evening I would like to tell you to pray in the days of this Novena for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on your families and on your parish. Pray. You shall not regret it. God shall give you the gifts with which you will praise Him to the last breath of your life on earth. Fall on the parish community of Medjugorje, too, that it may be able to live Our Lady’s messages and convey them to all. Fall on the priests who preach in Medjugorje. Fall on the confessors and those who confess. Spirit of Prayer, teach us how to pray. Cleanse our hearts that we may pray worthily and always find time for prayer. Holy Spirit, pray within me and invoke Abba, Father. Grant me the favor of praying with the heart. Mary, I also want to open my heart to the Holy Spirit, as you opened yours when you called to me: “Dear children these days I invite you especially to open your hearts to the Holy Spirit. These days the Holy Spirit acts through you in a special way. Open your hearts and abandon your life to Jesus that He may act through your hearts and strengthen your faith. I renounce every evil spirit and his action, and accept You, Spirit of Light, Love, Peace and Order. I dedicate to you all my abilities and want to act in Your light.
