April 13, 2020 Reflection – Monday of Easter Week, Divine Mercy Novena Day 4

(c)Mary TV – A Zubac 2020 April 13, 2020 Monday of Easter Week Divine Mercy Novena Day 4 Dear Family of Mary! On this 4th day of Easter, we realize how very much the prayers for Divine Mercy are united with the joy of Easter. The very heart of the Easter message is Divine Mercy. It is the Triumph of Divine Mercy that Jesus achieved through His Passion, Death and Resurrection. Divine Mercy is the most precious fruit of Jesus’ Sacrifice. Jesus died for all souls, that they be saved! Today in the Divine Mercy Novena we pray for an intention that is very dear to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We pray for those who do not believe in God and do not know Him yet. These are the souls that cause the most suffering for Jesus and Mary! They long for these souls to recognize their love and embrace it. Let us pray with all our hearts that all souls will hear Our Lady’s call. Our Lady told us: November 25, 2003 “Dear children! I call you that this time be for you an even greater incentive to prayer. In this time, little children, pray that Jesus be born in all hearts, especially in those who do not know Him. Be love, joy and peace in this peaceless world. I am with you and intercede before God for each of you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady has a burning love for those souls who do not know her Son, or do not yet love Him. She longs for them to be united to her Son. St. Faustina also was given by Jesus a great desire that souls would recognize and love Him. She wrote: Christ, give me souls. Let anything You like happen to me, but give me souls in return. I want the salvation of souls. I want souls to know Your mercy. I have nothing left for myself, because I have given everything away to souls, with the result that on the day of judgment I will stand before you empty-handed, since I have given everything away to souls. Thus, You will have nothing on which to judge me, and we shall meet on that day: Love and mercy … (Diary, 1426) And so today, we pray for all those souls who do not yet know or love Jesus…May they be given the grace of conversion and faith!! Divine Mercy Novena Day Four Today bring to Me THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD AND THOSE WHO DO NOT YET KNOW ME. I was thinking also of them during My bitter Passion, and their future zeal comforted My Heart. Immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. Most compassionate Jesus, You are the Light of the whole world. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who do not believe in God and of those who as yet do not know You. Let the rays of Your grace enlighten them that they, too, together with us, may extol Your wonderful mercy; and do not let them escape from the abode which is Your Most Compassionate Heart. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who do not believe in You, and of those who as yet do not know You, but who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Draw them to the light of the Gospel. These souls do not know what great happiness it is to love You. Grant that they, too, may extol the generosity of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen. April 12, 2020 Reflection – Easter Sunday, Divine Mercy Novena Day 3

(c)Mary TV Christ indeed from death is risen!!! April 12, 2020 Easter Sunday Divine Mercy Novena, Day 3 Dear Family of Mary! Let’s pray together this beautiful sequence, rejoicing in the Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ!! Sequence (Victimae paschali laudes) Christians, to the Paschal Victim Offer your thankful praises! A Lamb the sheep redeems; Christ, who only is sinless, Reconciles sinners to the Father. Death and life have contended in that combat stupendous: The Prince of life, who died, reigns immortal. Speak, Mary, declaring What you saw, wayfaring. “The tomb of Christ, who is living, The glory of Jesus’ resurrection; bright angels attesting, The shroud and napkin resting. Yes, Christ my hope is arisen; To Galilee he goes before you.” Christ indeed from death is risen, our new life obtaining. Have mercy, victor King, ever reigning! Amen. Alleluia. This is Easter Sunday! Though we have been walking through a dark time, the Resurrection is a force that cannot be stopped! No pestilence can keep us from the joy of our Redeemer!! Our Lady has told us so. She called us to live in trust. Her Son has conquered: “Dear children! Also today I call you to have more trust in me and my Son. He has conquered by His death and resurrection and, through me, calls you to be a part of His joy. You do not see God, little children, but if you pray you will feel His nearness. I am with you and intercede before God for each of you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (April 25, 2006) We do not see God, but today we want to feel His nearness. We want to live in the deep awareness of the Redemption of Christ. We want to be part of His Joy!! Come, Lord Jesus, and enter the room of my Heart, even if the door is locked. Even though I may be in locked down, alone, Jesus will come. He can walk through walls!! Come, Lord Jesus, come in and be with me. Today we pray for all Devout and Faithful Souls. May these souls stay firm and intercede for this poor world, so much in need of mercy! Divine Mercy Novena – Day Three Today bring to Me ALL DEVOUT AND FAITHFUL SOULS and immerse then in the ocean of My mercy. The souls brought Me consolation on the Way of the Cross. They were that drop of consolation in the midst of an ocean of bitterness. Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy, You impart Your graces in great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and never let us escape from It. We beg this grace of You by that most wonderous love for the heavenly Father with which Your Heart burns so fiercely. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon faithful souls, as upon the inheritance of Your Son. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, grant them Your blessing and surround them with Your constant protection. Thus may they never fail in love or lose the treasure of the holy faith, but rather, with all the hosts of Angels and Saints, may they glorify Your boundless mercy for endless ages. Amen. April 11, 2020 Reflection – Holy Saturday, Divine Mercy Novena Day 2

(c)Mary TV 2019 Pray for your shepherds… April 11, 2020 Holy Saturday Divine Mercy Novena Day 2Dear Family of Mary!April 02, 2014 “Dear children… Pray for your shepherds. I pray for them and I desire that they may always feel the blessing of my motherly hands and the support of my motherly heart.” Pray for your shepherds…Our Lady called us to pray for our priests many times!! She often included this call at the end of the 2nd of the month messages. She has a special love for our priests and for the religious as well. They have given their lives for Jesus. And we need them so much. Today we pray for them in the novena. St. Faustina depended upon her spiritual directors and confessors for clarity in discernment and protection from the devil. She learned to hear the voice of Jesus through them. She understood how necessary the priests and religious are for the Church and the world. She wrote: O Jesus, give us fervent and holy priest! Oh, how great is the dignity of the priest, but at the same time, how great is his responsibility! Much has been given you, O priest, but much will also be demanded of you … (Diary, 941) O my Jesus, I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit, and give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You, O Lord. Lord, give us holy priests; You yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest may the power of your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil’s traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things. (Diary, 1052) Such beautiful words of respect and love! Let’s pray today’s novena prayers with great sincerity. We do need our priests so very much! As Our Lady said: “Pray for your shepherds. I pray for them and I desire that they may always feel the blessing of my motherly hands and the support of my motherly heart.”Divine Mercy Novena – Day Two Today bring to Me THE SOULS OF PRIESTS AND RELIGIOUS and immerse them in My unfathomable mercy. It was they who gave Me strength to endure My bitter Passion. Through them as through channels My mercy flows out upon mankind. Most Merciful Jesus, from whom comes all that is good, increase Your grace in men and women consecrated to Your service, that they may perform worthy works of mercy; and that all who see them may glorify the Father of Mercy who is in heaven. Eternal Father turn Your merciful gaze upon the company of chosen ones in Your vineyard-upon the souls of priests and religious; and endow them with the strength of Your blessing. For the love of the Heart of Your Son in which they are enfolded, impart to them Your power and light, that they may be able to guide others in the way of salvation and with one voice sing praise to Your boundless mercy for ages without end. Amen. April 9, 2020 Update from Denis – The Power of Simple Prayer

  (c) Mary TV April 9, 2020 Holy Thursday Dear Apostles of Our Lady – Family of Mary TV, The power of simple prayer… “There is wonderful news this morning!”  Cathy greeted me with these words and a big smile when I came downstairs the other morning.  “Cardinal Pell is being released!” His conviction had been a sham.  Everyone knew it….   And the last news I had heard was that new charges would be leveled against him before Australia’s Supreme Court…  To tell the truth, I had sort of given up praying for him.  He was a martyr.  But Australia’s Supreme Court had just voted unanimously to set him free! Right when Cathy had said those words, they brought back a memory I had forgotten.   It was maybe back in 1991.  Australia had been consecrated to Satan.  I remember the shock that day when it happened.  And right then with Cathy’s greeting it came to me:  all the power of Hell, all the power of Satan, can’t withstand simple prayer!

April 10, 2020 Reflection – Good Friday, Divine Mercy Novena Day 1

(c)Mary TV 2018 April 10, 2020 Good Friday Divine Mercy Novena, Day 1 Dear Family of Mary! September 25, 2007 “Dear children! Also today I call all of you for your hearts to blaze with more ardent love for the Crucified, and do not forget that, out of love for you, He gave His life so that you may be saved. Little children, meditate and pray that your heart may be open to God’s love. Thank you for having responded to my call.” On this most solemn day, Good Friday, we worship our Crucified Savior. In silence and fasting, we remain with Him as He dies on the Cross and is buried in the Tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. We then wait with Our Lady and the women. It is a time of silence and patient faith. We also remember that on this day at the moment of Christ’s death, His Heart was pierced by the soldier’s lance and Blood and Water flowed from our Savior’s side. Jesus revealed to St. Faustina that this Blood and Water is the infinite outpouring of the Mercy of God for sinful man. And so, through her we have been given the Divine Mercy Novena, in which we call forth the Blood and Water upon all Mankind, asking for the salvation of souls. Jesus chose Saint Faustina to be His “Secretary of Mercy”. She was given the impossible task of spreading devotion to His Divine Mercy throughout the whole world which in our time is so desperately needed. He told her: St. Faustina wrote in entry 699: On one occasion, I heard these words: My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy (note139) be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the Fount of My Mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the very depths of My most tender mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me will contemplate My love and mercy throughout eternity. The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths of tenderness. It is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not havepeace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy. (699) The Feast of Mercy is on the 1st Sunday after Easter (this year it is April 19, 2020). And St. Faustina shared with us the instructions that Jesus gave her about the Divine Mercy Novena which Jesus wants prayed for the nine days before Divine Mercy Sunday: Novena to The Divine Mercy which Jesus instructed me to write down and make before the Feast of Mercy. It begins on Good Friday. “I desire that during these nine days you bring souls to the fountain of My mercy, that they may draw therefrom strength and refreshment and whatever grace they need in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of death. On each day you will bring to My Heart a different group of souls, and you will immerse them in this ocean of My mercy, and I will bring all these souls into the house of My Father. You will do this in this life and in the next. I will deny nothing to any soul whom you will bring to the fount of My mercy. On each day you will beg My Father, on the strength of My bitter Passion, for graces for these souls.” I answered, “Jesus, I do not know how to make this novena or which souls to bring first into Your Most Compassionate heart.” Jesus replied that He would tell me which souls to bring each day into His Heart. (1209) So today we begin Day 1 of the Divine Mercy Novena!! May we pray this Novena with all our hearts, because our world is in desperate need of the Mercy of God. Our prayers are necessary! Day 1 of the Divine Mercy Novena: Today bring to Me ALL MANKIND, ESPECIALLY ALL SINNERS, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. In this way you will console Me in the bitter grief into which the loss of souls plunges Me. Most Merciful Jesus, whose very nature it is to have compassion on us and to forgive us, do not look upon our sins but upon our trust which we place in Your infinite goodness. Receive us all into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, and never let us escape from It. We beg this of You by Your love which unites You to the Father and the Holy Spirit. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon all mankind and especially upon poor sinners, all enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion show us Your mercy, that we may praise the omnipotence of Your mercy for ever and ever. Amen. Now we pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet: Here is a link to directions on how to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet (by the Marians of the Immaculate Conception in Stockbridge, Massachusetts: https://www.thedivinemercy.org/message/devotions/pray-the-chaplet In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! April 9, 2020 Reflection – Holy Thursday – The Institution of the Eucharist

(c)Mary TV 2020 April 9, 2020 Holy Thursday Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children… Be my spiritually pure children. In spirituality is beauty. Everything that is spiritual is alive and very beautiful. Do not forget that in the Eucharist, which is the heart of faith, my Son is always with you. He comes to you and breaks bread with you; because, my children, for your sake He died, He resurrected and is coming anew. These words of mine are familiar to you because they are the truth, and the truth does not change…” (May 02, 2016) Our Lady calls us to the greatest mystery of our faith, the gift of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. She wants us to discover her Son, waiting for us in the Blessed Host. She wants us to have a true and lasting love for Jesus in the Eucharist. He is our only and best hope!! And tonight, we remember the Institution of the Eucharist, enacted by the Savior on the night before He died. This is Holy Thursday!!! It is a great suffering and sacrifice that on this most important night, most of us cannot physically attend Holy Mass and receive Jesus, our Eucharistic Lord. We can only offer up our sorrow to the Lord and thank Him for all the years when we were able to attend the Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper. We can also ask forgiveness for the times when we didn’t recognize and understand His True Presence. This is a time to strengthen our desire for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Our united hearts, longing for Jesus, can’t help but move the Father to heal our poor world of its woes. Here is a beautiful litany written by St. Faustina which expressed her awe and deep love for Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament. (Diary Entry 356) Maybe her words will expand our hearts as well: O Blessed Host, in whom is contained the testament of God’s mercy for us, and especially for poor sinners. O Blessed Host, in whom is contained the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus as proof of infinite mercy for us, and especially for poor sinners. O Blessed Host, in whom is contained life eternal and of infinite mercy, dispensed in abundance to us and especially to poor sinners. O Blessed Host, in whom is contained the mercy of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit toward us, and especially toward poor sinners. O Blessed Host, in whom is contained the infinite price of mercy which will compensate for all our debts, and especially those of poor sinners. O Blessed Host, in whom is contained the fountain of living water which springs from infinite mercy for us, and especially for poor sinners. O Blessed Host, in whom is contained the fire of purest love which blazes forth from the bosom of the Eternal Father, as from an abyss of infinite mercy for us, and especially for poor sinners. Blessed Host, in whom is contained the medicine for all our infirmities, flowing from infinite mercy, as from a fount, for us and especially for poor sinners. O Blessed Host, in whom is contained the union between God and us through His infinite mercy for us, and especially for poor sinners. O Blessed Host, in whom are contained all the sentiments of the most sweet Heart of Jesus toward us, and especially poor sinners. O Blessed Host, our only hope in all the sufferings and adversities of life. O Blessed Host, our only hope in the midst of darkness and of storms within and without. O Blessed Host, our only hope in life and at the hour of our death. O Blessed Host, our only hope in the midst of adversities and floods of despair. O Blessed Host, our only hope in the midst of falsehood and treason. O Blessed Host, our only hope in the midst of the darkness and Godlessness which inundate the earth. O Blessed Host, our only hope in the longing and pain in which no one will understand us. O Blessed Host, our only hope in the toil and monotony of everyday life. O Blessed Host, our only hope amid the ruin of our hopes and endeavors. O Blessed Host, our only hope in the midst of the ravages of the enemy and the efforts of hell. O Blessed Host, I trust in You when the burdens are beyond my strength and I find my efforts are fruitless. O Blessed Host, I trust in You when storms toss my heart about and my fearful spirit tends to despair. O Blessed Host, I trust in You when my heart is about to tremble and mortal sweat moistens my brow. O Blessed Host, I trust in You when everything conspires against me and black despair creeps into my soul. O Blessed Host, I trust in You when my eyes will begin to grow dim to all temporal things and, for the first time, my spirit will behold the unknown worlds. O Blessed Host, I trust in You when my tasks will be beyond my strength and adversity will become my daily lot. O Blessed Host I trust in You when the practice of virtue will appear difficult for me and my nature will grow rebellious. O Blessed Host, I trust in You when hostile blows will be aimed against me. O Blessed Host, I trust in You when my toils and efforts will be misjudged by others. O Blessed Host, I trust in You when Your judgments will resound over me; it is then that I will trust in the sea of Your mercy. Amen!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan © Mary TV 2020 PS. April 8, 2020 Reflection – Return to the God of Mercy!

(c)Mary TV 2020 April 8, 2020 Wednesday of Holy Week Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! I am with you all these years to lead you to the way of salvation. Return to my Son; return to prayer and fasting…” (March 25, 2020) In today’s Gospel reading, Jesus is at table with His Apostles for the Passover, and He says, “Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me” (Mt 26: 21). Perhaps He was fishing. Hoping that Judas would be jolted out of his plan to hand Him over. Perhaps it was one last try at winning Judas back. We all feel the dramatic tension of this moment. Oh, if only Judas had realized what he was doing. But he didn’t. He had inured himself to ignoring what Jesus said, and instead he only thought of ways to use Jesus for his own ends. And so, he did so, one more time. He betrayed the Lord of Heaven and Earth to the Sanhedrin. This moment in Holy Week, is indeed a moment to take pause. How have we inured ourselves to certain behaviors that distance us from Our Lord? And when we realize they are bad, do we run to confession to beg for mercy from Him? Or do we let those behaviors fester and destroy us? Here is a psalm that celebrates the joy of returning to the Lord, of seeking His forgiveness and mercy which are always plentiful and freely given. May it be an encouragement for all who are becoming aware of their mistakes and long to return to the Lord. Ps.103 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good as long as you live so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD works vindication and justice for all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor requite us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear him. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field; for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more. But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments. The LORD has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. Bless the LORD, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word! Bless the LORD, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will! Bless the LORD, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless the LORD, O my soul! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2020 PS. We will post the schedule for the Triduum Liturgies as soon as we can today!

April 7, 2020 Reflection – Return to prayer and fasting!

The Tribunal of Mercy in Medjugorje! April 7, 2020 Tuesday of Holy Week Dear Family of Mary! March 25, 2020 “Dear children! I am with you all these years to lead you to the way of salvation. Return to my Son; return to prayer and fasting. Little children, permit God to speak to your heart, because Satan is reigning and wants to destroy your lives and the earth on which you walk. Be courageous and decide for holiness. You will see conversion in your hearts and families; prayer will be heard; God will hear your cries and give you peace. I am with you and am blessing you all with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady calls to us to “Return to my Son…” Return to Jesus. If there is any distance between our souls and Jesus, we must turn and go back, find our way to Jesus and get as close as possible to him. This is of course the impulse of Lent. But it is also the deep sense we have during this pandemic. We are much more aware of our temporality. We are not going to live forever, and the end seems to be much more tangible now. “Return to my Son…” Our Lady says it almost as a command, a warning. We draw ever nearer to the Triduum. Jesus’ Passion, Death and Resurrection are coming like a freight train. Are we ready? Have we turned back to our Savior? Let us pray: Psalm 32 A Psalm of David. A Maskil. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputes no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. When I declared not my sin, my body wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. [Selah] I acknowledged my sin to thee, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD”; then thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin. [Selah] Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to thee; at a time of distress, in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. Thou art a hiding place for me, thou preservest me from trouble; thou dost encompass me with deliverance. [Selah] I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, else it will not keep with you. Many are the pangs of the wicked; but steadfast love surrounds him who trusts in the LORD. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! “Return to my Son; return to prayer and fasting.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2020

April 6, 2020 Reflection – Return to my Son!

Have mercy on me, O God!! April 6, 2020Monday of Holy Week Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! I am with you all these years to lead you to the way of salvation.  Return to my Son; return to prayer and fasting. Little children permit for God to speak to your heart, because Satan is reigning and wants to destroy your lives and the earth on which you walk. Be courageous and decide for holiness.  You will see conversion in your hearts and families; prayer will be heard; God will hear your cries and give you peace. I am with you and am blessing you all with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (March 25, 2020) “Dear children! I am with you all these years to lead you to the way of salvation.  Return to my Son; return to prayer and fasting…”    Our Lady calls our attention to the fact that she has been with us “all these years”. She has been with us for a long time, 38 years and 9 months. Every day for all those years she has visited Ivan, Marija and Vicka. For many years she also came once a month to Mirjana. And she continues to come to Jakov and Ivanka, and now Mirjana, once a year. That is a long time, by earthly standards. And she has given us messages at varying intervals throughout that time. Her messages and her presence in Medjugorje have been a source of conversion and holiness for many millions of people. But still it seems, we are not finished. We might even have wandered away, gotten distracted, lost our initial enthusiasm, because her next words are:    “Return to my Son; return to prayer and fasting…”    It is time to wake up and return to our initial fervor. It is time to take our conversion seriously again. And no better time than Holy Week. This week we will be living the sorrowful Passion of Our Lord, Jesus. We will meditate on each moment of that week when Jesus offered His life for the sake of our souls. There is no better time to return to Jesus, to return to prayer and to return to fasting. Our Lady never shows impatience. She never stops trying to help us to repent and turn. But even she sounds just a little bit irked by our weakness of fervor. We want to be honest and respond to her words to us now. We can take a cue from King David who sinned several times, but always repented and returned to the Lord with faith. We can take as an example, Psalm 51, a penitential psalm. This is the prayer of King David after the terrible sin he committed, taking another man’s wife, Bathsheba, and arranging for the death of her husband, Uriah. David had been in a deep relationship with God for quite some time when he committed this sin. It was a terrible fall and happened when ‘David should have known better.’ But this is the amazing thing about Our Lord. He has so much mercy and forgiveness for us, even when we should have known better. So, this is how David prayed after he realized his great sin. We can notice that David never stops believing that God will hear his prayer. He has such faith in the mercy of God. And we should too!!        Psalm 51 (To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba) Have mercy on me, O God,according to thy steadfast love;according to thy abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in thy sight,so that thou art justified in thy sentenceand blameless in thy judgment. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward being;therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Fill me with joy and gladness;let the bones which thou hast broken rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God,and put a new and right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners will return to thee. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,thou God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of thy deliverance. O Lord, open thou my lips, and my mouth shall show forth thy praise. For thou hast no delight in sacrifice;were I to give a burnt offering, thou wouldst not be pleased. The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Do good to Zion in thy good pleasure;rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, then wilt thou delight in right sacrifices,in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings;then bulls will be offered on thy altar.  May we, like David, own up to our sins and failings, especially since we should know better! And let’s trust in the great mercy of Jesus, shown during this most sorrowful time of Holy Week. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan© Mary TV 2020

April 3, 2020 Reflection – Words of Encouragement from Fr. Marinko

Lord have mercy on us, Christ hear us! April 3, 2020 Dear Family of Mary! On the Feast of St. Joseph, March 19, Fr. Marinko gave a short address to the people at St. James church, and to all of us on the internet.  He wanted to help us find a holy and beautiful way to approach this difficult situation, the coronavirus pandemic.  He used St. Joseph as a good example of how to face adversity.  Many of our countries are just now hitting the peak of this epidemic, and I think Fr. Marinko’s words are good to remember. “When everything is good, we forget about God.” -Fr. Marinko, Medjugorje     Praised be Jesus and Mary!   Dear friends of Medjugorje, dear brothers and sisters throughout the world, all of you who are connected with Medjugorje through the spirituality that our Heavenly Mother Mary, the Queen of Peace brings to us here, I greet you all from the depth of my heart and wish to say a few words to you. Today, on the Solemnity of St. Joseph, we are receiving a message for all of us in this situation, and it is a message from the life of St. Joseph and the life of Mary. So, we wonder, what was the situation of Joseph? He was in a very difficult situation! He was to take Mary as his wife, and she was now pregnant. He knew that the child was not his and it was a very difficult situation. He did not know what to do! Joseph struggled, yet he was righteous for he did not remain with his own plans, thoughts and desires. He did not think that the right thing to do was to do what he thought, but he was open. He was open to God’s plans, God’s perspective. When the angel said to him: “Joseph, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife!”, he believed the angel and he took Mary to be his wife. These words are so important today, dear friends, words important for us all and these words are: Do not be afraid! The angel said those words to Mary too: “Mary, do not be afraid! The Lord is with you!” Those were the words the angel said to Joseph: “Do not be afraid!” And the Lord says the same words to us too: “Do not be afraid!” Of course, there is fear, fear is also justified. We need to be careful, to take care and to be disciplined. We need to maintain hygiene, and this is also right and very important. However, we cannot do that in anxiety and in fear, but in faith! We need to have faith that the Lord is with us and we are His and all shall be well! This situation is a great opportunity for us. We could take it as something tragic, and in a way, it is something hard, of course it is hard. But this is an opportunity for us to get closer to Jesus. This is an opportunity to return to God, to return to prayer, to family, to true values. When everything is good, we forget about God. When all is good, we only seek for pleasure, entertainment, things that are good in a material way and we forget what is needed, the only thing we need. As Jesus said to Martha, “the one thing necessary”! Now, this is that moment! In this time, we ask ourselves and we seek “the one thing necessary.” Only that is important to us, to survive. We Christians may not know it in that sense, that this is the one thing. But we want to live with Christ, now and in eternity! Now to live with Christ! This is an opportunity, dear friends, to pray the Rosary, to grasp the Rosary in our hands. Our Lady teaches us that our strength is in the Rosary, let us grasp the Rosary! Read the Word of God, fast, climb Apparition Hill, Cross Mountain, or in our own places to find a way to pray individually or with the family, on our knees. Open our hands and open our hearts to the Lord. Pray to Him that He may strengthen our faith, to strengthen our trust in Him, to increase our love and fortify our hope!  Pray to Him that the love of God may reign in our hearts, that He may open our hearts to get to know His love, the love of the Merciful Father who loves us unconditionally, to open to that sun and the warmth of His love. This is an opportunity, dear friends, to discover the Eucharist. There are those places and countries where the Eucharist is no longer celebrated for the public, for justified reasons to prevent people from moving around or gathering in great numbers, to spend more time at home and to be able to be protected, so this disease and this epidemic is prevented in that way. Yet, for us this is an opportunity to discover the Eucharist, to discover the value of the sacrament of the Confession. For we may have forgotten about it, we may have gotten used to it, and now when we do not have it, may we all hunger for the Eucharist, love it ever so much more, long for Confession and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. So, dear friends, this is the time of grace. It is a difficult time, but a time of grace. Let us make use of this time! Let us believe in the Lord and His words – “Do not be afraid!” When this time is over, we will then have one great experience, the experience of having believed during a difficult time! This is what will carry us in our life, and we will realize that it is possible, it is possible, yes, it is possible! This is what Gospa has been teaching us! She does not remove obstacles from us, she does not say to us – I will take away all the problems you have. No! She says – I wish to teach you how to be strong within, how to have strong faith, hope, love, so you will be able to endure in the hard moments, be patient, await in hope and faith. Dear friends, this is what we wish for you from the depth of our hearts. This is an opportunity for us to start living the messages our Mother has been inviting us to live for so many years. Let us make use of this time, let us start! Our Lady once told us the same thing:    June 2, 2007 “Dear children! Also in this difficult time God’s love sends me to you. My children, do not be afraid, I am with you. With complete trust give me your hearts, that I may help you to recognize the signs of the time in which you live. I will help you to come to know the love of my Son. I will triumph through you. Thank you.” May Our Lady’s triumph come, and come soon!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan(c) Mary TV 2020
