April 25, 2019 – Message from Our Lady of Medjugorje

“Dear children! This is a time of grace, a time of mercy for each of you. Little children, do not permit that the wind of hatred and peacelessness rule in you and around you. You, little children, are called to be love and prayer. The devil wants peacelessness and disorder, but you, little children, be the joy of the risen Jesus who died and resurrected for each of you. He conquered death to give you life, eternal life. Therefore, little children, witness and be proud that you have resurrected in Him. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

Divine Mercy Novena – Day 7

(c)Mary TV 2018 April 25, 2019Thursday of Easter WeekDivine Mercy Novena Day 7 Dear Family of Mary! Today we pray for those who venerate and extol the Mercy of the Lord! It is a joyous day!! We want to be those who understand and reverence God’s Mercy and share it with others. December 25, 2012“Dear children, give the gift of your life to me and completely surrender to me so that I may help you to comprehend my motherly love and the love of my Son for you. My children, I love you immeasurably and today, in a special way, on the day of the birth of my Son, I desire to receive each of you into my heart and to give a gift of your lives to my Son. My children, Jesus loves you and gives you the grace to live in His mercy, but sin has overtaken many of your hearts and you live in darkness. Therefore, my children, do not wait, say ‘no’ to sin and surrender your hearts to my Son, because only in this way will you be able to live God’s mercy and, with Jesus in your hearts, set out on the way of salvation.” Jesus tells St. Faustina how much He loves those who live in and extol His Mercy: April 4, 1937. Low Sunday; that is, the Feast of Mercy. In the morning, after Holy Communion, my soul was immersed in the Godhead. I was united to the Three Divine persons in such a way that when I was united to Jesus, I was simultaneously united to the Father and to the Holy Spirit, My soul was flooded with joy beyond understanding, and the Lord gave me to experience the whole ocean and abyss of His fathomless mercy. Oh, if only souls would want to understand how much God loves them! All comparisons, even if they were the most tender and the most vehement, are but a mere shadow when set against the reality. When I was united to the Lord, I came to know how many souls are glorifying God’s mercy. When I went for adoration, I heard these words: My beloved daughter, write down these words, that today My Heart has rested in this convent [the Cracow house]. Tell the world about My mercy and My love. The flames of mercy are burning me. I desire to pour them out upon human souls. Oh, what pain they cause Me when they do not want to accept them! My daughter, do whatever is within your power to spread devotion to My mercy. I will make up for what you lack. Tell aching mankind to snuggle close to My merciful Heart, and I will fill it with peace. Tell [all people], My daughter, that I am Love and Mercy itself. When a soul approaches Me with trust, I fill it with such an abundance of graces that it cannot contain them within itself, but radiates them to other souls. Souls who spread the honor of My mercy I shield through their entire lives as a tender mother her infant, and at the hour of death I will not be a Judge for them, but the merciful Savior. At that last hour, a soul has nothing with which to defend itself except My mercy. Happy is the soul that during its lifetime immersed itself in the Fountain of Mercy, because justice will have no hold on it. Write this: Everything that exists is enclosed in the bowels of My mercy, more deeply than an infant in its mother’s womb. How painfully distrust of My goodness wounds Me! Sins of distrust wound Me most painfully. (1073 – 1076 Diary) Divine Mercy Novena, Day Seven Today bring to Me THE SOULS WHO ESPECIALLY VENERATE AND GLORIFY MY MERCY, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls sorrowed most over my Passion and entered most deeply into My spirit. They are living images of My Compassionate Heart. These souls will shine with a special brightness in the next life. Not one of them will go into the fire of hell. I shall particularly defend each one of them at the hour of death. Most Merciful Jesus, whose Heart is Love Itself, receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who particularly extol and venerate the greatness of Your mercy. These souls are mighty with the very power of God Himself. In the midst of all afflictions and adversities they go forward, confident of Your mercy; and united to You, O Jesus, they carry all mankind on their shoulders. These souls will not be judged severely, but Your mercy will embrace them as they depart from this life. Eternal Father turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls who glorify and venerate Your greatest attribute, that of Your fathomless mercy, and who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls are a living Gospel; their hands are full of deeds of mercy, and their hearts, overflowing with joy, sing a canticle of mercy to You, O Most High! I beg You O God: Show them Your mercy according to the hope and trust they have placed in You. Let there be accomplished in them the promise of Jesus, who said to them that during their life, but especially at the hour of death, the souls who will venerate this fathomless mercy of His, He, Himself, will defend as His glory. Amen. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan©Mary TV 2019 PS. I will send out the message as soon as I receive it today! Thank you, Dearest Mother, for giving us your messages! They are a sign of the mercy of the Lord!

Divine Mercy Novena – Day 6

(c)Mary TV 2018 April 24, 2019 Easter Wednesday Divine Mercy Novena Day 6   Dear Family of Mary!   Today is Day Six of our Novena to Divine Mercy. Today we pray for a very special group of people, Meek and Humble Souls and the Souls of Little Children! Our hearts will be fully involved with this prayer. We are attracted to these souls in a very deep way! And we also want very much to imitate such souls. Our Lady tells us how: July 2, 2007 “Dear children! In the great love of God, I come to you today to lead you on the way of humility and meekness. The first station on that way, my children, is confession. Reject your arrogance and kneel down before my Son. Comprehend, my children, that you have nothing and you can do nothing. The only thing that you have and that you possess is sin. Be cleansed and accept meekness and humility. My Son could have won with strength, but He chose meekness, humility and love. Follow my Son and give me your hands so that, together, we may climb the mountain* and win. Thank you.” Our Lady gave similar advice to St. Faustina:   1414 The Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Before Holy Communion I saw the Blessed Mother inconceivably beautiful. Smiling at me She said to me, My daughter, at God’s command I am to be, in a special and exclusive way your Mother; but I desire that you, too, in a special way, be My child. (1415) I desire, My dearly beloved daughter, that you practice the three virtues that are dearest to Me-and most pleasing to God. The first is humility, humility, and once again humility; the second virtue, purity; the third virtue, love of God. As My daughter, you must especially radiate with these virtues. When the conversation ended, She pressed me to Her Heart and disappeared. When I regained the use of my senses, my heart became so wonderfully attracted to these virtues; and I practice them faithfully. They are as though engraved in my heart. The path of humility and meekness is the path to joy! Let us pray: Divine Mercy Novena Day Six Today bring to Me THE MEEK AND HUMBLE SOULS AND THE SOULS OF LITTLE CHILDREN, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls most closely resemble My Heart. They strengthened Me during My bitter agony. I saw them as earthly Angels, who will keep vigil at My altars. I pour out upon them whole torrents of grace. Only the humble soul is capable of receiving My grace. I favor humble souls with My confidence. Most Merciful Jesus, You yourself have said, “Learn from Me for I am meek and humble of heart.” Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart all meek and humble souls and the souls of little children. These souls send all heaven into ecstasy and they are the heavenly Father’s favorites. They are a sweet-smelling bouquet before the throne of God; God Himself takes delight in their fragrance. These souls have a permanent abode in Your Most Compassionate Heart, O Jesus, and they unceasingly sing out a hymn of love and mercy. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon meek souls, upon humble souls, and upon little children who are enfolded in the abode which is the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls bear the closest resemblance to Your Son. Their fragrance rises from the earth and reaches Your very throne. Father of mercy and of all goodness, I beg You by the love You bear these souls and by the delight You take in them: Bless the whole world, that all souls together may sing out the praises of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan©Mary TV 2019

Divine Mercy Novena – Day 5

(c)Mary TV 2019 April 23, 2019Easter TuesdayDivine Mercy Novena Day 5   Dear Family of Mary!   Today we pray for a difficult intention, the reuniting of those who have separated themselves from the Catholic Church. In our day there many of Our Lady’s children have left the Church, looking for community and prayer in other denominations. We miss them, and long to be united with all Christians in one Church. And so, we pray…   Our Lady loves the Church and gave this amazing message about the Church:   December 02, 2015 “Dear children, I am always with you because my Son entrusted you to me. And you, my children, you need me, you are seeking me, you are coming to me and you are bringing joy to my motherly heart. I have, and always will have, love for you; for you who suffer and who offer your pains and sufferings to my Son and to me. My love seeks the love of all of my children, and my children seek my love. Through love, Jesus seeks unity between Heaven and earth; between the Heavenly Father and you, my children – His Church. Therefore, it is necessary to pray much, to pray and love the Church to which you belong. Now, the Church is suffering and needs apostles who by loving unity, by witnessing and giving, show the ways of God. The Church needs apostles who by living the Eucharist with the heart do great works; it needs you, my apostles of love. My children, from the very beginning the Church was persecuted and betrayed, but day by day it grew. It is indestructible because my Son gave it a heart – the Eucharist, and the light of His resurrection shone and will continue to shine upon it. Therefore, do not be afraid. Pray for your shepherds that they may have the strength and the love to be bridges of salvation. Thank you.”   We know that the shepherds are the bridges upon which all souls will be brought together in one Church. And so, we pray for them as we pray for unity with all our brothers and sisters   Divine Mercy Novena, Day Five:   Today bring to Me THE SOULS OF THOSE WHO HAVE SEPARATED THEMSELVES FROM MY CHURCH, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. During My bitter Passion they tore at My Body and Heart, that is, My Church. As they return to unity with the Church, My wounds heal and in this way they alleviate My Passion. Most Merciful Jesus, Goodness Itself, You do not refuse light to those who seek it of You. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Church. Draw them by Your light into the unity of the Church, and do not let them escape from the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart; but bring it about that they, too, come to glorify the generosity of Your mercy. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Son’s Church, who have misused Your graces by persisting in their errors. Do not look upon their errors, but upon the love of Your own Son and upon His bitter Passion, which He underwent for their sake, since they, too, are enclosed in His Most Compassionate Heart. Bring it about that they also may glorify Your great mercy for endless ages. Amen.   In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2019

Divine Mercy Novena – Day 4

(c)Mary TV 2017 April 22, 2019Easter MondayAlleluia, He is Risen!!!!   Dear Family of Mary! (We are going to pick up on the Divine Mercy Novena today! So many graces are available!!)   Today in the Divine Mercy Novena we pray for an intention that is very dear to Our Lady’s heart. We pray for those who do not believe in God and do not know Him yet. These are the souls that cause the most suffering for Jesus and Mary! They long for these souls to recognize their love and embrace it. Let us pray with all our hearts that all souls will hear Our Lady’s call.   “Dear children! I want you to surrender your hearts to me so that I may take you on the way, which leads to the light and to eternal life. I do not want your hearts to wander in today’s darkness. I will help you. I will be with you on this way of discovery of the love and the mercy of God. As a mother, I ask you to permit me to do this. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (March 18, 1999) “O my God, how I pity those people who do not believe in eternal life; how I pray for them that a ray of mercy would envelop them too, and that God would clasp them to His fatherly bosom.” (Diary 776)   We can pray for all those souls who do not yet know God, and do not believe in Him, that they will be clasped to the fatherly bosom of God!   Divine Mercy Novena Day Four   Today bring to Me those who do not believe in God and those who do not yet know Me. I was thinking also of them during My bitter Passion, and their future zeal comforted My Heart. Immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. Most compassionate Jesus, You are the Light of the whole world. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who do not believe in God and of those who as yet do not know You. Let the rays of Your grace enlighten them that they, too, together with us, may extol Your wonderful mercy; and do not let them escape from the abode which is Your Most Compassionate Heart. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who do not believe in You, and of those who as yet do not know You, but who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Draw them to the light of the Gospel. These souls do not know what great happiness it is to love You. Grant that they, too, may extol the generosity of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen. Good Friday

(c)Mary TV 2019/ Anthony Zubac   April 19, 2019 Good Friday Dear Family of Mary!   “Christ became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every other name.” (Phil 2:8-9) Below are 5 messages from Our Lady that may help us today as we meditate on the suffering and death of Jesus for us: July 2, 2009 “Dear children! I am calling you because I need you. I need hearts ready for immeasurable love. Hearts that are not burdened by vanity. Hearts that are ready to love as my Son loved, that are ready to sacrifice themselves as my Son sacrificed Himself. I need you. In order to come with me, forgive yourselves, forgive others and adore my Son. Adore Him also for those who have not come to know Him, those who do not love Him… Therefore, I need you. Therefore, I call you. Thank you.” May 02, 2012 “Dear children! With motherly love I implore you to give me your hands, permit me to lead you. I, as a mother, desire to save you from restlessness, despair and eternal exile. My Son, by His death on the Cross, showed how much He loves you; He sacrificed Himself for your sake and the sake of your sins. Do not keep rejecting His sacrifice and do not keep renewing His sufferings with your sins. Do not keep shutting the doors of Heaven to yourselves. My children, do not waste time. Nothing is more important than unity in my Son. I will help you because the Heavenly Father is sending me so that, together, we can show the way of grace and salvation to all those who do not know Him. Do not be hard hearted. Have confidence in me and adore my Son. My children, you cannot be without the shepherds. May they be in your prayers every day. Thank you.” February 25, 1998 “Dear children! Also today I am with you and I, again, call all of you to come closer to me through your prayers. In a special way, I call you to renunciation in this time of grace. Little children, meditate on and live, through your little sacrifices, the passion and death of Jesus for each of you. Only if you come closer to Jesus will you comprehend the immeasurable love He has for each of you. Through prayer and your renunciation you will become more open to the gift of faith and love towards the Church and the people who are around you. I love you and bless you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” November 25, 2007 “Dear children! Today, when you celebrate Christ, the King of all that is created, I desire for Him to be the King of your lives. Only through giving, little children, can you comprehend the gift of Jesus´ sacrifice on the Cross for each of you. Little children, give time to God that He may transform you and fill you with His grace, so that you may be a grace for others. For you, little children, I am a gift of grace and love, which comes from God for this peaceless world. Thank you for having responded to my call.” March 2, 2008 “Dear Children, Please especially during this Lenten season, respond to God’s goodness, because He has chosen you and me He has sent to be among you. Cleanse yourselves of sin and in Jesus, my Son, recognize the peaceful sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. Let Him be the purpose in your lives. May your lives be in service of the Divine love of my Son. Thank you my children.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan©Mary TV 2019 PS. The Supper of the Lord

(c)Mary TV 2018/ Anthony Zubac   April 18, 2019Holy Thursday Dear Family of Mary! Today we enter into the Holy Triduum of the Church. It is the three holy days during which we commemorate and meditate upon the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Today, Holy Thursday, we celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. This is that sacred moment when Jesus gave us Himself in the Blessed Sacrament and instituted the priesthood. Just before He suffered and died, He gave Himself to us in the miraculous way, under the form of bread and wine. And we have been offered this same Jesus, at every Holy Mass, down to this very day. We cannot fathom the power and mystery of the Blessed Sacrament. It is beyond our every imagining. Fr. Leon gave a homily on April 16, 2019, Tuesday of Holy Week, in which he spoke very clearly about the power and mystery of the Blessed Sacrament. Denis and I have transcribed the homily so that we can ponder it on this holy day. It will help us to prepare for the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, and maybe for every Holy Mass we attend here after! English Mass homily in Medjugorje by Fr. Leon….Tuesday, April 16, 2019:   In CS Lewis’ books for children, actually I don’t think they are really meant for children, I think they are meant for grown-ups…  his Narnia books, Jesus is presented in the image of a lion, Aslan.  Aslan, the lion, is Jesus.  OK, Aslan is Jesus.  Now, in the stories although there’s a temptation to see Aslan the lion as a cuddly figure, a lion is dangerous.  But this lion is not so dangerous, somehow.  There is a recurring warning and it crops up in the later books… it says: Aslan is not a tame beast.  He is not a tame beast.  In other words, God is not domesticated to our use, or indeed, to our abuse.  God is God.  He is wild and free. We cannot presume upon Him, is what they mean.  Now how does this work?  In our time we are so used to thinking: “You know, God is mercy.  All are welcomed, etc.”  But we forget: God is mercy and God is justice.  Mercy and justice are the same thing in God.  All are welcomed – on God’s terms!  And here…this is the kind of thing that no priest or bishop wants to preach on – the unpopular stuff.  But I have to tell you the truth.  When we talk about the Eucharist, Holy Communion, as medicine, remember that some medicines are too strong.  If you were too weak, for example, and you had cancer, you could not receive chemotherapy.  Chemotherapy would kill you.  Jesus is this kind of medicine.  If you were too weak, He would kill you.  This is not me speaking, this is the Bible. The 1st Letter to the Corinthians, Chapter 11: “Do not eat or drink without discerning the Body and Blood of Our Lord.  Some of you have done so and that is why you are sick, and some have died.”   So, if we approach the Eucharist without actually going to Confession first – if we have serious sins on our soul – the Eucharist kills us.  How does it kill us?  It hardens our hearts.  It makes us stronger in our sin and more reluctant to confess, more reluctant to repent.  This is what Jesus does.  Jesus is not a tame beast.  And we see this happening in the Gospel that we just heard.  What happens?  Jesus takes the morsel, the Eucharist, and he says, “It is the one to whom I give it.” He gives it to Judas and you heard it: “And Judas took the morsel and Satan entered into him.”  Satan entered into him because Judas was in sin.  And he did not want to confess, did not want to repent, and he received the Eucharist.  And then it says, “Judas took the morsel and left at once, and it was night.”    When John tells us this, John is not saying -oh, by the way, it was such a lovely day, and now the sun set, and now it was dark, and the stars came out and it was so pretty.  No.  What he means is, when Judas took the morsel it was night in his soul, it was dark because he was not repentant.    OK, fine, not all of us might see ourselves as Judas.  Most of you have gone to confession, thank God!  But also, there’s a warning in the same Gospel for those of us who think we’re OK.   Peter says, “Where are you going Master.  I will follow you wherever you go, I will lay down my life for you!”  And Jesus has to tell him: “Amen, Amen, before the cock crows you will deny me three times.”  When I say this, we might be thinking, well, who is safe then?  This is exactly what the disciples of Jesus said to him: “Who then is safe?”  And he said: “By God’s grace all things are possible.  With men it is not possible.  But by God’s grace it is.”  So, we have to remember the Eucharist is powerful!  The Eucharist is even dangerous if we are not prepared for it.    Pope Benedict (Emeritus) released a letter a couple of days ago on the child sexual abuse crisis of our times.  And one of the things he talked about, apart from the terrible culture of many seminaries, he also mentioned the lack of respect for the Eucharist.  And he gave examples.  He said when you have baptisms, weddings, funerals, all these people come who don’t normally go to Mass, and then they all come up and receive the Eucharist.  And he said we are eroding the sense that the Eucharist is something sacred.   If everyone is coming up, and they haven’t even confessed, is this good for them?  You know, the priest doesn’t want to be unpopular.  He will say, all are welcomed.  All are welcome!  But the priest has to answer before God on judgement day.  “What did you do with the sacred things I handed to you?  Did you prostitute them?”  We must all answer for this.    So, when the sense of the sacred is eroded – now Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI is not saying this is why there is child abuse.  He is saying that with the priest, when they have no longer the sense of the sacred, of what they are touching, the Host!  When they don’t look for all the fragments of the Host and for every fragment and crumb – they couldn’t be bothered – if they’ve lost the sense that this is really Jesus, that their hands were consecrated to serve Him, then this is where the beginnings of all sorts of evils start, including the sexual abuse crisis of our time.    So here, remember the Eucharist is powerful medicine.  Medicine is for the sick.  But you must be strong enough to take this medicine.  And we are only strong enough – the sick are actually the ones who say to Jesus: I need your forgiveness, I need to go to confession.  The ones who say I don’t need to go to confession, I’m just going to come up and receive Communion, they are the ones deluding themselves.  And it is dangerous.  Be aware of this.  Judas took the morsel and Satan entered into him.    Pray therefore at every Eucharist that we receive, pray and make reparation for all the abuses of the Blessed Sacrament around the world, of all the sacrilegious Communions made throughout the world.  We must love Jesus and offer our love in reparation for all these abuses against Him.   In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen!    To view the video of this mass use this link:https://marytv.tv/english-mass-in-medjugorje/    Thank you Fr. Leon, for always speaking the truth in love.  We will thank you for all eternity! Our Lady has been teaching us how to approach Jesus, her Son, in the Blessed Sacrament.  When Denis first entered St. James Church, on his first pilgrimage to Medjugorje in October, 1986, pinned on the door of the church was a faint mimeographed message Our Lady had just give to the prayer group….though  it was never published, Vicka confirmed it’s authenticity:     “If the average Catholic would take a little longer before recieveing Holy Communion, preparing their hearts… and then spend a little longer afterwards talking to Jesus, thanking Him, they would experience many more miracles in their lives and there would be less sickness among them.”  (October, 1986, Our Lady to the prayer group)   Amen!!  Amen!!            In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan©Mary TV 2019 PS. Jesus should be loved and prayed to…

(c)Mary TV 2018/ Anthony Zubac   April 17, 2019Wednesday of Holy Week Dear Family of Mary! Gospel for April 17, 2019: When it was evening, he reclined at table with the Twelve. And while they were eating, he said, “Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” Deeply distressed at this, they began to say to him one after another, “Surely it is not I, Lord?” He said in reply, “He who has dipped his hand into the dish with me is the one who will betray me. The Son of Man indeed goes, as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had never been born.” Then Judas, his betrayer, said in reply, “Surely it is not I, Rabbi?” He answered, “You have said so.” (Mt 26: 20-25) In the Gospel for today, Jesus announces that he will be betrayed (in the version according to Matthew). Jesus’ announcement starts a flurry of responses. The Apostles themselves are aghast at such an idea. “Surely it is not I, Lord!” But it would seem they were upset by the idea. Could it be that they each had been tempted by the enemy to just such a thing? It would have been the enemy’s tactic to whisper to each one that Jesus was now becoming an outlaw, despised by the powerful Sanhedrin. Wouldn’t it be better to distance yourself from Him?? The enemy of our souls is constantly tempting us, in a myriad of ways, to protect ourselves, even at the cost of the innocent and righteous. It takes great vigilance to renounce such thoughts. To be like Jesus is to love and protect the weak, small, or politically unwanted. At any rate, there was one who fell prey to the enemy’s temptations. One who chose to betray Jesus. That one later did realize that it would have been better if he had not been born. But too late. In this message, Our Lady encourages us to stand against such temptations to betrayal. She tells us that she has come to help us to be better, to love her Son and not betray Him anew. Let her words sink deeply into our hearts. She is with us to help us! May 02, 2017 “Dear children, I am calling you to pray, not to ask for but to offer sacrifice – sacrificing yourselves. I am calling you to reveal the truth and merciful love. I am praying to my Son for you, for your faith which is all the more diminishing in your hearts. I am imploring Him to help you with the divine spirit, as I also desire to help you with my motherly spirit. My children, you must be better. Only those who are pure, humble and filled with love sustain the world – they are saving themselves and the world. My children, my Son is the heart of the world. He should be loved and prayed to, and not always betrayed anew. Therefore, you, apostles of my love, spread the faith in the hearts of people by your example, your prayer and merciful love. I am beside you, I will help you. Pray for your shepherds to have all the more light, so as to be able to illuminate all those who live in darkness. Thank you.” May Jesus be loved and prayed to, and not always betrayed anew! May we love and pray to Him with all our hearts! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan©Mary TV 2019

No one can have two masters…

(c)Mary TV 2017     April 16, 2019Tuesday of Holy Week   Dear Family of Mary! The Gospel for today begins with these lines: Reclining at table with his disciples, Jesus was deeply troubled and testified, “Amen, amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” The disciples looked at one another, at a loss as to whom he meant.   One of his disciples, the one whom Jesus loved, was reclining at Jesus’ side. So Simon Peter nodded to him to find out whom he meant. He leaned back against Jesus’ chest and said to him, “Master, who is it?” Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I hand the morsel after I have dipped it.”   So he dipped the morsel and took it and handed it to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot. After Judas took the morsel, Satan entered him. So Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.” (Jn 13: 21-27)   Jesus reveals to His disciples His betrayer. It was hard for them to believe. Somehow, they hadn’t recognized how far Judas had drifted from their fellowship. He was following another God, Mammon. And as Jesus had said in the Sermon on the Mount, you cannot serve God and Mammon. God is One. “No one can serve two masters…” ( Mt 6: 24) I wonder if Our Lady ever tried to help Judas during the days of Jesus’ public ministry. She surely saw the danger he was in. As I read her Message of April 2, 2019, it seemed to me that she could have said these words to him, hoping he would draw closer to Jesus and not leave the fold. Maybe we can read them now and allow her to draw us in to the embrace of her Son, where we will be safe. For Jesus is our God. He is all we need. We never want to betray Him. Not ever. “Dear children, as a mother who knows her children, I know that you are crying out for my Son. I know that you are crying out for truth, for peace, for that which is pure and not deceptive. That is why I, as a mother, through the love of God, am addressing you and calling you that, by prayer and a pure and open heart within yourselves, you may come to know my Son – His love, His merciful heart.   “My Son saw beauty in all things. He seeks the good in all souls-even that which is little and hidden-so as to forgive evil. Therefore, my children, apostles of my love, I am calling you to adore Him, to ceaselessly give Him thanks, and to be worthy. Because He has spoken to you divine words, the words of God, the words which are for all and forever.   “Therefore, my children, live joy, radiance, unity and mutual love. This is what you need in today’s world. In this way you will be apostles of my love. In this way you will witness my Son in the right way. Thank you” (April 2, 2019)   We can imagine Jesus seeing the good in Judas’ soul, even that which is little and hidden.  Jesus would work hard to forgive evil, to change to the good even the hardest heart.  But in the end, we must choose.  May we always listen to Our Lady’s words. She is with us to help us to choose Jesus! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan©Mary TV 2019 PS.
